Only MAC wins vs FBS so far this year:

NIU over GA Tech
WMU over Pitt
EMU over UMASS

Not good

EDIT: I see Snoopy beat me to it

Nice win WMU!
Pitt beat Tennessee last week and was 2-0.

NIU's coach is not good -- but I cannot blame them for that change. Look how Temple is. Jesus H.

That said, I was hoping Rocky would at least threaten them for a while, then lose. I knew NIU was in no position, regardless of coaching change, to adjust where he would.

But, all's not lost for the Huskies. Of course we fear them. They can beat anyone like a freaking rabbit out-of-hat. Those damn Chia-pets spark out. Diesel used to chomp their head off -- but whatever.

It's obviously rebuilding for NIU -- and, as a MAC fan, WMU made sure we won one. Buffalo -- should be interesting in the East vs West.

And Clemson is weak now. So is ND. Alabama isn't as strong as just a few years ago. Should be interesting year.

RE: NIU gets us a scalp!
NIU has 87 freshmen, which is 76% of our total roster. But considering we have half the the conference's P5 wins (and 1/3 of its FBS wins) I'm not sure anyone can say NIU is any worse than anyone else in the conference.

Michigan ran all over and has beaten WMU, Washington, and now us pretty soundly.

Our all freshmen defense could not stop Michigan at all. It was certainly disappointing. The offensive game plan was also lacking. We mostly ran the ball but didn't block very well so our run game didn't break any big plays. Rocky Lombardi certainly hasn't played well the last two games either. He now has 4 INTs in last two games.

One has to wonder if the Candle is burning out at Toledo. That game yesterday was one of the most frustrating I’ve seen. And to think a week ago, if their QB had the idea to run out of bounds at the 1 instead of score, the Rockets likely win in South Bend. (I certainly don’t blame him, just sayin’ how close they were to a program-defining win.) Now they bumble to a miserable loss at home to a bad Rams team. Seems like they had an Irish hangover, which reflects on coaching.

In good news, nobody lost to an FCS team this week!

I thought Bowling Green was young. About 67% of our roster was in high school in 2020 or 2021.

NIU's was a few weeks ago against Ga Tech. Still, nice win for WMU this weekend.
