1)USM has a good reputation and good fan support
2) Brings a new state into the Belt
3) About a 3 hrs drive from 4 Belt members (USA, Troy, ULM, UL)
4) they play great baseball
5)They are improving their facilities
6)They will improve in football with a new coach and a more athletic
friendly adm

Why would you want to associate with ODU? A lot of App posters want an eastern based conference that would include them?

I don't know any App fans that want to be in a conference with ODU. Our people would pick UNCC over them and we don't really want UNCC in the league.

Good win for the Jags. We have to win these kind of OOC matchups.

If you look at a map of the Sun Belt Conference, USM would put a buckle on the Belt.

USM fans, don't give up on Hall. He's good coach and a good hire for your program. He is staying away from the transfer portal and building through MS, AL, LA, FL-panhandle high school kids...it's going to take 2 or 3 years. And he's a damn good recruiter so it might not take that long.
