From New England Baseball Journal...

Watch list: New England’s top 22 pitchers for the 2022 MLB Draft

1. Reggie Crawford
LHP | UConn
Hometown: Frackville, Pa.
Bats: Left | Throws: Left
Height: 6-4 | Weight: 235

Is it safe to say that Crawford is the top prospect as a pitcher as well as a position player? Regardless of which role an MLB team sees Crawford playing at the next level, he’s a legitimate first-round prospect after a banner 2021 calendar year. He was one of the top players for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team this summer, and his fastball topped out at 101 mph.

2. Adam Stone
RHP | Harvard University
Hometown: Stamford, Conn.
Bats: Right | Throws: Right
Height: 6-6 | Weight: 215

Stone got the Opening Day start for the Falmouth Commodores after arriving on the Cape with a 98 mph fastball on the heels of a cancelled Ivy League season. Like Crawford, Stone also played for the 2021 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. He appears fully recovered after suffering a UCL tear in his pitching arm prior to his senior year at Fairfield Prep.

3. Sebastian Keane
RHP | Northeastern
Hometown: North Andover, Mass.
Bats: Right | Throws: Right
Height: 6-3 | Weight: 190

Pitching for the Chatham Anglers in the Cape League, Keane went 0-1 with a 3.85 ERA with 25 strikeouts over 21 innings. The right-hander with mid-90s velocity slotted into Northeastern’s rotation last spring, going 6-1 while striking out 73 in 70.1 innings.

7. Cam Schlittler
RHP | Northeastern
Hometown: East Walpole, Mass.
Bats: Right | Throws: Right
Height: 6-6 | Weight: 200

Schlittler pitched for Harwich in the Cape League, posting a record of 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA with 21 strikeouts in 25 innings. After a strong spring at Northeastern, he was named a NCBWA Second Team Freshman All-American. He led the CAA with eight wins and ranked 11th in the country with a 1.88 earned run average.

RE: 2022 Baseball
Glavine landed another talented and multi-sport athlete from Mass.

RHP/SS Aiven Cabral from Lynn committed last week.

Here's what New England Baseball Journal had to say about Cabral...

October has brought with it a few big-name commitments for local college programs. Northeastern landed one of most accomplished Massachusetts pitchers in the Class of 2022 last week when St. Mary’s senior Aiven Cabral announced his intentions to join the Huskies next fall.

Cabral was absolutely dominant on the mound in 2021, posting a record of 8-0 while allowing just five runs on 32 hits in 64.2 innings. He posted 106 strikeouts on his way to earning CCL Pitcher of the Year honors.

Cabral fits the mold of the prototypical Northeastern commit during Mike Glavine‘s tenure as coach. Cabral is an athlete first — he batted in the No. 3 spot as well for St. Mary’s — and he has plenty of upside due to his lack of experience playing on the national stage. He’s gotten a chance to do more of that since the end of the 2021 season, and he’s currently in Jupiter, Fla., with the Boston Red Sox Scout Team. He closed out the Game 2 win.
