So what if the Big 12 adds 2 more to get to 14? It will then add Boise State and Memphis. Also Navy might go independent.

Then the worst the AAC would look like, would be like this:

1. UAB
2. SMU
3. ECU
4. Tulsa
5. USF
6. Temple
7. Tulane
8. Liberty
9. App State
10. Pick em...Louisiana, Marshall, UTSA, GA St, etc

Play a 9 game conference schedule. In basketball play 18 conference games by playing each twice.

What are you complaining about?

Those of us who have been around long enough remember “the good old days” when UAB played football against Louisville, Cincy, Memphis, and Houston. We remember playing basketball against the above teams plus DePaul, Marquette, and St. Louis. This is UAB history. This is our background. You can call us cry babies, but actually we aren’t babies at all. We are just so old that we have memories of what it used to be like. It’s hard to ignore those memories and comparisons.

The lack of TV revenue that league would generate. But hey, beggars can't be choosy right?

please realize that the LARGE majority of Blazer fans would be super happy with that outcome.
Some people shoot for the moon (and that's okay) and, while shooting, are going to complain about any scenario short of that. It's what fans do

If academics matter at all, then the AAC without UC, UH, and UCF is way superior to CUSA. If Rice and Buffalo are added along with us, then that AAC is academically superior to its current form.

Hey I get it, going from sucky to suck money wise is an improvement. Ideally, moving up to a better conference means mo money, mo money, much more money.

Maybe if we all hope together in unison, UAB gets an invite and ESPN doesn't renegotiates the contract.

Fingers crossed!

If it meant not one dime more, it's better sports and better leadership. That alone is a good enough reason to move. The extra jing is gravy.

We need the gravy now to stop playing body bag games. And we can only hope Aresco stays on as commish if UAB is invited. Speaking of better sports, CUSA is showing out today. Yay!

One Saturday does not a season make.

And then there's basketball season.

Didn't say it did. But at least the games are competitive and in some cases the conference came out on the winning end.

Yeah....CUSA is still OUR conference, so until it's not ill continue to cheer it on. Impressed by our performances so far. We definitely haven't embarrassed ourselves like the AAC (minus Tulane, Cincinnati, and UCF) have. At least our losses have been to legit teams and competitive in most cases.

UTSA is very good. They look a lot like UAB. Good lines.
