You should be able to flip a coin and average 1/2 of them right.

You would think so. Yet in 2,160 games in the Pickem so far this season we have collectively only been right 47% of the time. Does that mean the oddsmakers have enticed us to take the points against our better judgment? Or that we're picking with our hearts instead of our heads?

They seem to play much better at home. Plus it may be a bit chillier than what VT players may have experienced so far this season

Mark you and I have been watching football a long time and Virginia Tech's problems are crystal clear tonight to me, strength and conditioning is #1, and tackling is #2 and related to #1. I haven't seen a Virginia Tech team this poor since the early 70's and late 60's.

Their line has size but no push on defense or offense. That screams conditioning to me. You see a team suffer a lot of injuries and it screams the same thing, and then tack on poor tackling and there's your exclamation point on strength and conditioning.

I don't know what kind of head coach puts up with weakness? It's obvious on film and should have been dealt with at least last year. How close is the coach to his S&C man?

I'll let the other Mark speak...I do agree they seem weak along the lines. I think their bigger problem was QB or lack there of...and BC getting theirs back and playing on a special night.

I'll be surprised if JF is still coaching by the UVA game...only finishing 6-6 might save him.

It looks like this week will be decided by the tiebreaker no matter who wins the Southern Cal-Arizona State game.

poor tackling has been a problem all season, but I feel like the offensive line has had good and bad games (and don't underestimate BC's defensive line!)

RE: ACC Pick 'Em Contest - Week 10
This week's winner is channeling his inner George Jefferson by movin' on up. Congratulations to copycat who got 11 correct picks this week.
Second place goes to XLance who also had 11 correct pick this week, but lost on the tie breaker.
Third goes to panite had 10 correct.

Thanks to ken d who pointed out my error. I missed copying a formula down to all players. My apologies for my aged, addled brain.

So I finally figured it out. Whatever I think is going to happen, I pick the opposite now.
