Even if they lose to SU, I think San Jose State finishes in second place. It is hard to tell since they are going off average points and not won-lose record.

The key game today seems to be UTRGV vs. UIW. It looks like the winner gets the 6th seed in the tournament and the loser is out.

San Jose didn't do themselves any favors by drawing with Chicago State at this point in the season. I don't know if a change in seeding would make much difference if it ended up happening, as you would still be 1 or 2 and have a bye. You'd play different teams, but who knows what difference that may or may not make.

I am not sure how the conference tournament works for men. The women have divisions so its different.
Tournament seeding has come out and San Jose's draw with CSU earlier in the year did turn out to hurt them. With the loss to Seattle on Saturday, San Jose dropped to the 4th seed. They would have had the 2nd seed and a first round bye if they had beaten CSU.
Tournament Seeding:
#1 GCU
#2 Seattle
#3 Air Force
#4 San Jose
#5 UVU
#6 UTRGV

I noticed how close it was below SJ. I couldn't figure out how RGV was in the tournament because I just counted down and saw them as 7th. I was thinking maybe there was some formula being used, or that maybe they still took a certain amount of teams from the 2 sides even if they didn't play in divisions. Then I saw CBU was one of the teams above them. Derp. They need an asterisk or something.

Seattle defeated GCU in the WAC Tourney Championship game. Grand Canyon lead 2-0 very late in the game but Seattle came back to tie.

Seattle won on PK's.

Both teams are now awaiting their seeding in the NCAA tournament.

Congrats to Seattle! What a heart breaker for GCU. Being up 2-0 with less than 6 minutes to play. I don't know if GCU let down their guard or what. It did not appear like it. Seattle just was able to capitalize on the corner kick and then the free kick.
At least the WAC will likely get two teams in the NCAA tournament again like last year. GCU will likely now get a much lower seeding though.

Looks like GCU is hosting former WAC member Denver. Didn't drop too far, because you're still hosting at least.

Surprisingly GCU still got a decent seeding and even gets a home game.
GCU plays Denver at GCU with the winner taking on 8th ranked Clemson.
Seattle gets Univ. of Portland in Portland with the winner getting 2nd ranked Washington.
Both games are this Thursday.

Big day for WAC soccer as the NCAA tournament kicks off.

Seattle takes on Univ. of Portland
GCU takes on Denver
Both games start at 7pm (MST).

Seattle (31) and Portland (32) have similar RPI. The edge probably goes to Portland though since they are playing at home.

GCU (12) has a much higher RPI than Denver (79) and GCU is playing at home. The edge definitely goes to GCU.

Go Redhawks! Go Lopes!

Lopes play terribly and squander a chance to win an NCAA game, losing 1-0 to Denver.
Seattle goes down to a loss as well so the WAC is out.

Hmmmm… can anyone tell me about Justin Rasmussen at GCU?

Just became a first round draft pick of the Timbers, who have two great picks in their MLS time while generally sporting a tendency to forget they ever drafted anyone else.
