The idea that Debo McBride and Kris Moll are "OR" starters is, well, whut tha fuq. No disrespect intended for anyone else ...

You can be sure that both will see lots of action, as well as others in the mix.

This defense is loaded. Love to see Swoopes running No. 1 at Star. Heard he's had a great camp. Also love the message that the OR sends to guys like McBride and Moll and really everybody on the team. There's a lot of competition going on. Will Boler is one of the best safeties in the conference. Wouldn't be a shock if he's the Game 1 starter over Moll. I still think they will move Moll and Dy'Jonn Turner around. I bet Justin Thomas is a monster at DT. By the end of the season, I think Tyler Taylor will be considered the team's top linebacker. I like the depth at that position.

Mac McWilliams getting the start is a surprise. I know it's been reported he had a good camp, but I thought TD Marshall and Starling Thomas would be the two starters.

The depth at DB is incredible, ain’t it busch? UaB has guys in the 3rd and 4th string who would be starters for many teams in the conference.

The versatility is something opponents are going to have to reckon with because Reeves can mix up the looks for some horrible mismatches. Also, I expect Moultrie to be a monster and a draft pick on the edge. Great move. But he can also drop back inside on certain sets and stunts to blow up plays.

I think we could see Moll all over the field.

Agree on Taylor. He is gonna be a beast. He has a chance to make the league.

Since I’m the jerk of the board, why do we have walkons at the 1s at WR spots and somebody who is going to get ragdolled as RB1.

Those “no bowl” predictions looking likely.

Hope Sanders-Johnson lives up to the hype this year. And wow’d by the fact that McBride is a OR.

Yes, the secondary depth is crazy. I think Mac McWilliams has a shot at being pretty special down the road. Wouldn't be surprised to see Starling and TD starting the most games there. Totally agree on the ability to mix up looks and that Moultrie is special. They'd be crazy not to use Moll all over the field.

Lost in all the experience is that there are some really good young players who are competing well. UAB is building a real program set up to win long term.

We have never had this kind of depth. EVER. This is a depth level above the level of a typical CUSA program IMHO. Lets see how this translates to on the field.

Me too. I'm actually surprised J. Brown is still even at RB, much less a co-starter. Five-eight, 185 lbs is just too small for an FBS running back. Kinda how I felt about Jalen Benjamin in basketball. Being short you can overcome, but being short and skinny is tough.

Solid advice.

Every year I keep thinking the team will be full of seniors and be the last before a rebuild/reload. Yet the 2 deep isn’t senior laden like I expected it to be this year

All anybody asks is that we play the best players. They continue to not do that on offense. They develop favorites and the rest ride the bench.
