Cal Bears sell naming rights to Memorial Stadium field for $17.5 mil. over 10 years
https://www.sfchronicle.com/sports/colle...407003.php

Quote:In a statement, Cal Athletics announced that it had entered a 10-year, $17.5 million deal with West Realm Shires Services Inc. that will be paid for entirely in cryptocurrency — believed to be a first for a college or university in this country.

West Realm Shires Services is the owner of FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange. The Bears’ football team will play on FTX Field at California Memorial Stadium.

Cal opens its season Sept.4 against Nevada in Berkeley.
