Tailgating advice needed
Ok, let’s get off the conference realignment topic and discuss actual game day experience. I looked for the “get your tailgate ready” thread, but couldn’t find it, so here we are.
Been years since I’ve been tailgating, and most of my experience is at the Senior Bowl, in January. Now I’m planing my tailgate for the whole season. First home game for me is Sep 4th, so still full on southern summer heat. I know shade tents, chairs and coolers full of iced down beverages of all sorts. But what about food??? I have no desire to stand over any kind of grill early season, so what is a good food to bring, pick up chicken fingers on the way in or what??? No access to electricity, so big fans and TV are currently out.
So what’s the food suggestion and am I missing anything to help with mid afternoon southern sun and heat???

Lots of water, lots of Gatorade/Powerade.
You're also in Mobile. Get a tailgater pack or whatever they call it from Cane's if you don't want to cook.
I have an RV so I'm in the parking lot all weekend. I also have AC. So grilling or firing up a Blackstone isn't a big deal. Blackstones are good too as they don't require as long as a grill and provide you other options.

I’ve got a Blackstone, and by October I expect it to be in rotation. Would love to take the camper and generator, but just not there yet. That and my current generator is not one of the nice quiet ones, so need a new one of those as well. I’m expecting game one to be a “see what everyone else is doing” kind of experience. This should have been taken care of last season, but we all know how that turned out........

As he said, you’re in Mobile. If you don’t want to cook and decide to get chicken tenders, it needs to be from Foosackly’s!

Unfortunately I’m not in Mobile anymore and don’t have access to either. The boy plays for Birmingham-Southern, so I’ll be on the Hilltop watching the Panthers. I’m figuring some nice charger iPads with an ESPN app will have to do for following/watching games during the day.
We had Bojangles here for a while, but those have all closed now.

I'd try and find something that does a tailgate box like Bojangles does. I've done that a couple times when I haven't had the time to grill out before a game but still wanted to tailgate and it's pretty nice.

Pre-cook hot wings. Pull them out of the cooler and let them get to ambient temp. Serve with pre-cut carrots, celery, chips and your choice of dressings. Not fancy but it will all fit in one cooler and a grocery bag. Just a thought.

We've precooked wings before and then flash fried them while tailgating to get them hot and crispy. Only took a few minutes for each batch then tossed them in sauce. Made it a lot faster and you still got freshly hot wings.

I know a few Falcons tailgaters who feel the same way about the grill. They invest in ice chests for drinks in cooling for the tent and then each one brings one "catered" item. Someone may bring 100 wings while someone else brings some other food. Potluck style. You should be able to ven get bbq by the pound somewhere. Then its just about keeping everything warm.

Tailgating advice needed
For September and early October consider getting a small generator for fans and other small electrical needs. Of course that’s if you aren’t tailgating in close proximity to others and if wherever you are tailgating allows generators.
