Inmate, 26, beats his sister's rapist, 70, to death and is given an extra 24 years after they were assigned same Washington state prison cell.

Somebody at that facility has some explaining to do.

Article has a lazy excuse. Apparently they had different last names so it didn't show up when they did their normal checks

He should get some additional years for breaking the law, i.e. murder lol. That said, he only killed a total POS and had a valid reason for doing so. So the judge should've gone easy on him. 24 years seems harsh.

Sounds like a cop out The dude asked to be moved to a different cell and was denied. Pretty sure those in charge knew about it then.

Justice? Poetic, yes.

But in the end, the guy did kill another person. Twenty-four years? I don't know.

One could say justice would have been the child rapist being executed for his admitted crime. At that point, Goldsby would never have been in this position.

Interesting that he tried to tell prison officials a couple of times and they did nothing.

I can see possible lawsuits against the state from both parties: Goldsby and the family of Munger. And rightfully so.
