Joe Biden's approval rating simply hasn't moved in six months
Right now, Biden's average approval rating rests at around 53%, no matter how you calculate said average. Over the course of Biden's first six months in office, his approval rating has never risen above 55% or fallen below 51% in an average of polls. It was 53% in April and 54% in May.
To give you an idea of what a narrow lane Biden's approval rating is in, you only need to look at history.
Prior to Biden, the average range for post-World War II presidents in their first six months in office was 14 points. Biden's range is less than a third of that.
Nearly every other president saw his maximum and minimum approval rating differ by about greater than 7 points or more. (Lyndon Johnson's gap was about 5.5 points.)

Thanks for the OP comrade chode. Just please remind me with whom we are at war. I forget in my advanced age. Should I spit on Eastasia or Eurasia. Inquiring minds want to know.

To illustrate exactly what he's talking about I signed up for an advanced handgun accuracy class at a local gun range and rated myself as proficient. At least I did until I started shooting under the watchful eye of a qualified instructor. I learned I was perhaps credible but far short of proficient. But but but I've been shooting since I was 12! Yeah well, you've been shooting wrong since then so shut up and pay attention.
These days when asked to rate myself I always do so understanding my limitations, unless it's an employer performance review, then I'll brag like crazy about why I'm such an exemplary employee.

“According to the latest Gallup poll, America has already tired of the Biden agenda. His approval rating among his own party has slipped by near double-digits, and among Independents, he has fallen from 61 percent to 48 percent. This marks a slide the White House is unlikely to reverse, given that voters now understand the truth: Biden is merely the figurehead of a leftist agenda out of touch with the priorities of Americans.”
