At 16 members these super conference probably won't be playing an OOC schedule. I think the G5 conferences really need to think about developing OOC scheduling philosophies for the future. If you have OOC series scheduled with P5'S that is like gold right now. At worst, those P5's will have to buy out those games if they can't play them due to being in a 16 team conference with no OOC scheduling. And if your program is dependent on money games with these P5's to fund your athletics, I'd be a little concerned about how to make up that lost revenue down the road.

I was skeptical this four 16-team super conference thing was ever actually going to happen.

But with the stupidity of this NIL issue I believe it’s a foregone conclusion now. And this NIL is going to kill college sports. At least in the NFL when the QB and RB and making millions the OL makes some dough too. What incentive are athletes at less marquee positions going to have to prop up at marquee player just so he can make millions while they get jack squat? This is not going to end well.

Yeah, every kid in pee wee through high school will be fighting with their coaches insisting they are QB's, RB's, WR's, and LB's. Finding and developing linemen will be even harder. I think the smart programs will look to incentivize endorsements for their guys in the trenches, as skill players become dime a dozen. But, none of this address our looming problems with OOC scheduling.

It will be nothing for them to just break contracts with anyone they don't want to play. I mean the S4 (super 4) aren't going to charge each other to break these contracts. So they each have what? 2 games on average per year to pay for. So it might cost them 2-3 million a year for a few years to clean out their schedule. Meanwhile they'll be making in excess of 100 million a year. They won't give a truck about those contracts. And they can probably break contracts 3-4 years out for free or greatly reduced penalty because they would be giving a team plenty of time to fill the void.

The OSU offensive line brought to you by Mack Trucks or Caterpillar Bulldozers. I could see that.

Well, they could go to 18 teams and only play the teams in their division and still have 4 OOC games. 16, 18…. It’s P5, what does it matter?
