Serious question (that I’ve asked here before): can you give me one good reason why UL would consider moving to cusa? Even if it was for free, much less if we had to pay huge exit fees? I think most people in the sporting world would consider this a step down, or I guess some would see it as a lateral move. But I think you’d very hard pressed to find any rational people who think it would a step up, or wise, in any way, shape or form. No offense meant just stating some facts.

If Texas and OU actually move to the SEC, I can't envision a scenario that doesn't cause at least a program or two (probably UAB & maybe Rice) to be snatched up by the AAC. So, I also don't see a reason to add anyone. At 12 programs, C-USA has a few more crumbs to distribute and no FBS program with half a brain (except Texas State) would join this conference in it's current condition. FCS move ups aren't the answer either.

Less than 10 years ago, C-USA was trying to position itself to become the best of the G5 football conferences. Today we are squarely the worst G5 football conference. A lot of people have to screw things up for that kind of failure to occur. C-USA needs new leadership, and not just the commissioner. Every position at the conference headquarters needs to be evaluated based on performance and results.

Does Judy actually do anything? Does anyone know if she's even a real living human or just a name? Maybe we really dont have a commissioner, just a stock photo headshot and a made up name. Ive been catching up on reading about the B12 and realignment stuff today. Have seen every single G5 commissioner quoted somewhere other than you know who. Does she literally get paid to do nothing? Get out there and fight for us, position us, hell... go on the offensive and say we'd like to bring some AAC teams to CUSA if things shake out that way. Its no crazier than thinking B12 teams will go AAC. I honestly know college kids that could do better.

Without a doubt. Marshall, USM, Rice, UAB and UTEP have 5 more years of wins in that list then the more recently added teams. Why include former members and then why start at 2008? I don't think much can be extrapolated from that list.

No. There is no good reason. Sun Belt is much better than CUSA now in football. CUSA has a historically better rep than the Belt, but things change. CUSA is toast. There is a much better chance for the Belt to improve by adding USM and UAB (and maybe more), than for UL to get lost in oblivion with CUSA. Another option is for a brand new conference.
