RE: Announcement Today at Sun Belt Media Day
If ESPN is calling all these shots did they extend the SBC contract and number of games knowing they’d add additional members?
I’m not a fan of ESPN’s hold over college athletics for the record, but I was surprised with this announcement last week and adding members would now make sense.

What did he say that upset you so much. Did he skin your cat or something, did he come in flaming you or the conference. Nope it was a simple statement. One that could turn out to be very true in the next few months.
I don't get the attitude of "Stay on your own board or in your own lane" that is of course unless you are afraid of what might happen.
Now if you want to get into CUSA vs Sun Belt, that is different. CUSA 2.0 was stil leaps above the SB. But CUSA 3.0. 3.1 or whatever you wanna call it vs the Sun Belt the lines have been blurred big time. The top half of football and baseball are about even and the top half of basketball would go to CUSA. But when it all gets down to it they are both 1 bid conferences, just like the OVC, SoCon and NEC. So does that really matter.
The only clear advantage CUSA has is everyone is an R1, R2 or the new designated R3. But as a G5 conferences and not in a conference of only AAU schools how much does academic prestige count.

I think the La Tech fans are getting nervous. UL has a lot of momentum, and it sucks to get passed by a team and conference you've looked down on for so long. UNCC basketball fans feel the same way about App, but reality is reality.
agree that CUSA basketball is better, but SBC football is clearly better also, there is no blur there.
