Game 1 was awesome. Game 2 was brutal. Even though the Avalanche are up 2-0, the Lightning are a very dangerous team. Could still easily go to 7.

TB caught a HUUUUGE break with the offsides on the first COL goal, then the Power Play but couldn't capitalize. Seems the ice is a bit warmer, and COL a step behind where they've been playing.

Absolutely sweet weave play for Palat to score the go-ahead goal for the Lightning, who look so far like they want this series to go a few more games.

Now getting serious as theyr'e exchanging goals and opening it up a bit in 2nd Per!

Yup, Lightning showing a lot of spark at home. COL started out well enough, but letting them back in with some penalties and TB taking advantage. 4 goals in the 2nd, and TB has turned the tables.

One the one hand, why the hook on Kuemper, but on the other, maybe he needs a blow.

TB seems to have this one in hand, though there's still half a period to play.

It's gonna be a series. Now, can COL get one in TB or will it be a battle of attrition?

Good game last night. Thought it was gonna be another Lightning blowout when they scored less than a minute in. Both teams were more active in the neutral zone, and Vasilevskiy was a brick wall. COL had like a half-a-dozen posters. MacKinnon's "goal" was not what you'd have epected of him, oming off a rebound from his skate, but he'll take it. He's had so many good shots and is clearly one of the best skaters out there, but hadn't been able to put one through until that goal last night.

Kadri's goal was abrupt and the way it stuck up in top of the net in back, I couldn't see it in real-time so it ws a very confusing end to the game, which has to be especially frustrating for TB. Watched it several times again and it was one of the weirder goals, but heyt, it counts.

Now they go back to the firmer ice in Denver for Game 5. I figured they would slush the surface up in Tampa to slow the 'Lanche down, and several players remarked it was "garbage" of a surface. Looking good for a COL Cup win, but I'm sure Tampa will lay it all out Friday night!

heckuva game! Tense. the ICE is MUCH better. TB should NOT be allowed by the league to have their home ice in such terrible shape.

Gotta respect the Moxie of Tampa after they were down in the series and then backs to the wall on the road tonight. Two-Time Defending Champs giving it their all. Really would have liked to see COl win it at home, but don;t want it to go 7. So get some rest and go win it in TB!

Will be tough to root against these guys next season....nah, it won't! Go vegas!
