Very classy move indeed.

Looks like your Texans are playing against McNeece plus a bunch of guys in striped shirts. Very strange officiating. Looks like they just guess at forward progress. Tarleton should win by a good margin.

Even Coach Whitten can’t blow this lead tonight like he did against McNeese in Stephenville.

That being said I am fan of Whitten and his recruiting.

Did McNeese just get 5 downs to end the game and kick a field goal?

Tarleton overcomes 3-0 turnover margin (including 2 INTs driving inside McNeese 1-yard line) and some seriously disgusting home cooking by SLC officiating crew to manhandle McNeese in every facet.

Ugly as it was, beating up on a very proud and historic McNeese team on their home turf is big step up for our young program. And at the end of the day, there was zero doubt who the better and more complete team was, and it wasn't even close.

We definitely have some things to clean up before next week, but to make a statement down in the hot/humid swamp without any serious injuries is a victory in and of itself.

Noticed UNA looked pretty darn good today, much better than last year. Should be a good game in the Ville next week!

Cooper going out and not returning that I saw is more than a little concerning. I would call that serious. Hopefully it’s not.

All speculative not knowing how good or not the opponents they played are.

On this week’s results only I would put SUU and Central Ark in top two followed by Tarleton and ACU in the next two

But, this season is just getting started. Still, nice to punk a Southland Conference team on their field.

No one left that stadium without knowing TSU was clearly better than McNeese

Hope SE La gets the same treatment

Louisiana is a weird place, SE La, Nicholls and UNO are all within 45 to 50 minutes of one another. Seems like a waste of state taxpayers money especially when your higher education system is broke.

RE: UAC FOOTBALL WEEK #1
I would move Tarleton up one spot for sure. The Texans were so much better than McNeese and the score did not reflect that superiority. A couple of what one might call lucky interceptions in McNeese's endzone distorted the first half. Tarleton could run or short pass right down the field at will.

The same could be said of ACU and Northern Colorado. So much giving a lot of substitutes experience that made it seem like the second half was just trying our backups. The Wildcats ran out the clock with the ball inside their 5 yard line, a classy thing to do I guess. I thought to myself that we must have been playing so that any scouts could not get much information, just running out the clock. But you can not tell much against just one opponent. Every phase of the game was played well and that is not always going to be true. I sure like our offensive line. They are probably the biggest and best we have ever had. But the whole team seemed so much better.

UIW and SFA had puzzling performances so who can guess much this early in the season. I just want one (or more) of our WAC teams to get a bid. Oh, and I almost left out that the SLC must use a strange version of officials.
