RE: Pelosi's Jan 6th Show Trial
Susan Collins’ Words Ring Hollow, as She Criticizes ‘Partisan’ Capitol Riot Hearings

Quote:Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) is slamming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for putting on the Democrats’ latest political theater performance known as the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol. The lawmaker had some criticism for former President Donald Trump over his supposed role in motivating the riot that occurred that day, too, but she lashed out at Pelosi for engaging in a politically motivated campaign against Republicans.

During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” Collins was asked whether Trump allies should have to testify before the committee about his inciting the riot at the Capitol. Collins responded, noting that “there were many communications with President Trump that day,” and that “while the rioters are primarily responsible for what happened, there’s no doubt in my mind that President Trump helped instigate and motivate the rioters.”

The lawmaker also lamented the fact that the original committee to further exploit investigate the riot was voted down by Senate Republicans. She stated that “it would have had far more credibility than Speaker Pelosi’s partisan committee that she has set up.”

“I think it would have had far more credibility than Speaker Pelosi’s partisan committee that she has set up. We should have had a 9/11 style commission to fully look at what happened.”

Collins also criticized Pelosi’s decision to remove Reps. Jim Banks (R-IL) and Jim Jordan (R-OH) and instead appoint anti-Trump Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL). Referring to the anti-Trump lawmakers, Collins stated that she respects them, but does not “think it was right for the speaker to decide which Republicans should be on the committee.”

Sen. Collins was one of six Republican senators who voted to impeach Trump after he was already out of office, which is why her words ring hollow on this matter. She also supported the initial bipartisan commission, which was clearly intended to use the Capitol riot as a political cudgel.

The senator’s criticism of the Democrats’ sham of a select committee makes it is abundantly obvious that these proceedings are designed only to smear Trump, his supporters, and the GOP. The notion that they would uncover important information that the nation doesn’t already know is asinine, which further indicates that this has little to do with discovering the truth.

Still, Collins helped to add to the sentiment that led to these partisan hearings. By falsely claiming that the riot was Trump’s fault, she was one of several Republicans who gave the Democrats ammo. She helped the Democrats and activist media perpetuate the false narrative about the assault on the Capitol and Trump’s responsibility in the matter. Collins may not approve of Pelosi’s politicking, but this does not mean she is an ally to conservatives.

RE: Pelosi's Jan 6th Show Trial
If You Don’t Suspect Deep State Provocation At The Jan. 6 Riot, Start Paying Attention

Quote:It’s not only reasonable but required to ask at the outset of leftists’ 1/6 “Truth Commission”: How much of what led to Donald Trump supporters “storming the capitol” was a setup?

BuzzFeed recently revealed the alleged Gov. Gretchen Whitmer “kidnapping plot” was instigated and coordinated by FBI informants who collected a handful of malcontents as an apparent cover story for manufacturing a “domestic terrorism plot” to foil in front of the cameras. There’s plenty of evidence this kayfabe is not just an isolated incident but the way the security state really does business. As the un-FOIA-able DC Capitol Police establish cross-country beachheads in Florida and California and prepare to deploy U.S. military surveillance tech used on insurgents in Afghanistan, it’s well past time to start shutting this Hydra down.

It is well-established by now that U.S. intelligence agencies use informants, lies, and leaks to frame people, causes, and political opponents of the regime. This is so well-established that it would be surprising if the one Capitol riot Democrats are pursuing did not include FBI or other federal spy state provocateurs. And if that’s the case, then our country is in deep, deep sh-t.

This Is What These Agencies Do
For readers who have been under a rock for the last five years, let’s review just the recent highlights of spy agency, Democrat, and media collusion that would lead one to suspect the Jan. 6 events as part of this pattern.

Russiagate is the prime example. This was designed to make Americans believe that if Donald Trump won in 2016, his presidency was illicitly installed by foreign actors. It was a complete fabrication of the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, in collusion with the Obama White House, and highly successful. It dragged the nation on a five-year goose chase costing billions of dollars and hamstringing the national government — not coincidentally during a rare, ill-used, and short-lived span during which Republicans controlled both Congress and the presidency.

In this wildly successful information operation, Democrats used federal surveillance and police state powers to spy on a president from the opposing political party and then prevent him from exercising the constitutional powers granted to him by voters, smearing him along the way with false and outrageous allegations (“pee-pee tapes,” “Manchurian candidate”) that also helped cost Republicans the next two elections by driving his negatives sky-high.

Top intelligence officials lied under oath to Congress and fabricated evidence for this operation, and none have been brought to justice. Many are getting quite comfortable pensions or post-Trump CNN sinecures. This election-rigging conspiracy included not only top national security and intelligence officials but also reached all the way up to President Obama and then-Vice President Joe Biden.

Russiagate Is Just the Tip of the Iceberg
We have public documentation of U.S. spy agencies using their massive powers for political purposes far beyond Russiagate, without any serious retaliatory action taken by Congress. Clearly, Congress’s habit of useless showboating and taking insane Democrat allegations at face value only has encouraged graver abuses.

Since this is an article and not a book, let’s just do a non-comprehensive list to further illustrate this is a pattern of military-industrial authoritarian behavior not at all limited to Russiagate.

2011: It’s revealed in court documents that the Obama administration FBI was spying on Fox News reporter James Rosen and the Associated Press. The government accused Rosen of “espionage” for reporting critically on the administration, which was reportedly paging through Rosen’s private Gmail account and phone logs with his parents.

October 2011: “[T]he Obama administration secretly changed longstanding policy to create a ‘loophole,’ according to Democratic Senator Ron Wyden, allowing the National Security Agency (NSA) to conduct ‘backdoor searches’ of U.S. citizens’ domestic communications. Previously, NSA spying was publicly believed to be confined to foreign terrorist threats and foreign territory.”

2012: CBS reporter Sharyl Atkisson’s work computer and personal devices were hacked and surveilled, likely by federal agents using their spy powers to sabotage her reporting on the Obama administration Fast and Furious scandal. Litigation over the abuse of power is still ongoing today, and implicates Department of Justice official Rod Rosenstein.

2015: Obama administration caught using the NSA to spy on members of Congress with the goal of neutering opposition to its Iran deal.

September 2017: Obama national security advisor Susan Rice, now Biden’s Domestic Policy Council director, admitted she used NSA surveillance powers to spy on Trump and incoming Trump administration officials up to a year before he took office.

2016: A large proportion of the alleged insurrectionist occupiers in the Bundy standoff in Oregon are revealed as federal informants authorized to commit crimes to entice non-agents into criminal conduct, leading to court acquittals of many involved. The FBI also used additional informants in the case outside the standoff location.

August 2019: Excerpts of leaked classified information from a phone call with Ukraine’s president are used to spark another impeachment attempt against Trump that later turned out to be yet another Potemkin plot constructed from sewn-together leaks and lies that went completely unpunished.

November 2020: Top military and other deep state officials successfully stymie, with lies and leaks, Trump’s four-year quest to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan.

January 2021: Former CIA chief of staff calls for federal intelligence agencies to place spies within and electronically surveil conservative grassroots groups.

May 2021: Acting Secretary of Defense Mark Miller testifies to Congress that pressure from previous defense secretaries — all top-level intelligence officials — caused him to refuse requests to provide better security at the U.S. Capitol in advance of what federal intelligence agencies knew would be a volatile crowd coming in on January 6.

July 2021: “a National Security Agency (NSA) investigation quietly confirmed Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s allegation that it had collected his electronic communications” — then leaked them to sabotage his reporting.

In addition to info ops that we know included U.S. intelligence agencies, we’ve seen propaganda operations that we don’t know included intelligence agencies but used their deceptive leaking, media-planted misinformation, and crisis construction techniques. These include the attempt at preventing Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation using wholly unsubstantiated sexual smears; the Big Tech collusion to prevent the Hunter Biden corruption scandal from reaching voters in October 2020, which statistically could have cost Biden the presidency; and the attempt to end election security from 2020 on using COVID as a pretext.

Using Spying to Frame Political Opponents Is Totalitarian
All these tactics, of course, are hallmarks of totalitarian dictatorships. Yes, all that fear-mongering pounded into our national psyche about Donald Trump as an “authoritarian” “fascist”? It’s clearly projection by people deploying actually authoritarian and fascist methods of governance, like spying on political opponents, surveilling journalists, fabricating smears, and using leaks and “confidential human sources” to frame people as nefarious actors.

All this certainly makes one think twice about many facts related to January 6, such as these noted by Glenn Greenwald: “Numerous requests prior to the event for an additional police force and national guard activation were rejected by the civilian command structure. Social media companies were actively feeding information to law enforcement about what was being planned by conspirators. We also know that the FBI extensively monitors social media through a variety of agents and tools.”

As Greenwald also notes, the U.S. surveillance state has been perfecting and deploying its authoritarian methods for decades, unchecked by the elected officials who claim to conduct “oversight” but haven’t ever taken a single scalp, or even nicked blood, over this critical issue. One wonders what kind of dirt on members of “oversight” committees the National Security Agency and FBI have tipped their hands to having obtained to keep them so amazingly docile.

After all, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer did tell Rachel Maddow on TV in 2017: “Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”

Republicans, Get Your Big Boy Pants On, We Need You
So, are Republicans just going to accept a role as the impotent cardboard opposition in what is truly a one-party government (another hallmark of a dictatorial state), or are they going to dispense with the dangerous pretense that being “pro-law enforcement” and “pro-military” means letting unelected spy agencies continue to expand their utterly terrifying powers? When are they going to register what has happened in the last 20 years and turn that into an immediate instinct to deeply distrust anything Democrats say, even and especially when it includes quotes, leaks, and made-for-TV videos of people pounding on doors, burning down cities, or driving vans down to a Democrat governor’s lake house?

Republicans believe they are going to retake Congress in 2022. Maybe they will. But for what? For another two or four years of posturing on TV while taxpayer-funded spies and traitors continue to decide which of them are allowed to be in office?

If they want to stop earning contempt, Republicans must right now make strategic plans to use Congress’s budget authority to slash and burn the entire deep state so vigorously that whoever is left to actually fight terrorists instead of manufacture them will remember it 100 years from now. Thinking of this situation in less than existential terms requiring resolute, intelligent, and decisive action would be a fatal and historic mistake.

For want of such courage, the republic is fully lost.

Jan. 6 Crowd is Calm & Peaceful Only Moments Before Capitol Police Begin Launching Stun Grenades Into Crowd

Kinzinger, Cheney: Aiding and Abetting the Pelosi January 6 Cover-Up

Quote:Amazing.

There are Republican — say again Republican — members of the United States House of Representatives aiding and abetting a corrupt, dictatorial Democrat Speaker of the House.

Representatives Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Liz Cheney (R-WY) are using their position on the lynch mob-style “January 6” committee to aid and abet the cover-up of perhaps the greatest scandal in the history of the U.S. House of Representatives. Which is to say the all-too-glaring fact that, well-warned in December 2020 of the potential problem with a protest of a highly controversial presidential election riven with “irregularities,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took zero precautions to protect the Capitol building.

In a city that has over the decades seen Puerto Rican nationalists open fire from the House gallery and wound five congressmen on the House floor below, seen national guardsmen armed with machine guns on the Capitol steps during the 1968 riots following the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King? In a city that witnessed a crazed gunman invade the Capitol in 1998 and shoot to death two Capitol Police officers? Not to mention a city that has seen violent Washington protests opposing everything from the Vietnam War to supporting Black Lives Matter? Knowing all of this and doubtless having witnessed some of it, Pelosi sat on her hands and did absolutely nothing — nothing — to protect the Capitol building. By the testimony of those four Capitol Police and D.C. police officers the other day, while they wouldn’t say it, in fact their lives were put directly at risk by the Speaker’s incompetence and inaction.

It is the scandal of Washington scandals. And the instinctive response of Reps. Kinzinger and Cheney is . . . join hands with the radical left Democrats to protect Pelosi.

Over there at Fox News, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has posted a piece headlined — correctly — this way: “Newt Gingrich: Nancy Pelosi is the greatest threat to constitutional liberty in our lifetime”

The former Speaker says, in part, this:

As a 20-year member of Congress and four-year Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, let me speak bluntly and directly.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is the greatest threat to constitutional liberty in our lifetime.

With the passive support of an apparently cowardly caucus, she is behaving as a dictator more like Fidel Castro, Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, or Nicolás Maduro.

Then there’s this headline over in the New York Post: “Kinzinger supports issuing Jan. 6 subpoenas to McCarthy, others.”

The Post reports: “Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger said Sunday that he supports issuing subpoenas to members of Congress about the Capital riot — including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.”

Also on Kinzinger’s list? Ohio’s Republican Congressman Jim Jordan.

Note well this sentence from the Post story: “Kinzinger of Illinois is one of two Republicans picked by House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi to investigate the riots.”

Hmmm. Does Kinzinger think Americans are stupid? That Americans cannot see the connection between he and Cheney refusing to investigate Pelosi — and the fact that she handpicked them to serve on the committee? Really? Apparently so. The story then goes on to quote Kinzinger as saying this — and saying it without the least sense of irony: “‘If anybody’s scared of this investigation, I ask you one question: What are you afraid of?’ the rep said. ‘I mean, either you’re afraid of being discovered having some culpability in it or what?’”

Hello? If Kinzinger really believed that, then there would be a subpoena issued post-haste to . . . Nancy Pelosi. But . . . naah. No talk of subpoenaing Pelosi. No Watergate-style question of “What did the Speaker know and when did she know it.” Nope. None of that.

Why?

Because simply put, the January 6 committee, with Kinzinger and Cheney’s active and enthusiastic support, is the equivalent of those old Stalin show trials in the Soviet Union. For those out there unfamiliar with the show trials, Wikipedia supplies the precise definition:

A show trial is a public trial in which the judicial authorities have already determined the guilt, and/or innocence, of the defendant. The actual trial has as its only goal the presentation of both the accusation and the verdict to the public so they will serve as both an impressive example and a warning to other would-be dissidents or transgressors. Show trials tend to be retributive rather than corrective and they are also conducted for propagandistic purposes. The term was first recorded in 1928.

In short, a better description of today’s January 6 Committee could not be had. This is nothing more than a show trial of former President Donald Trump and the 75 million Americans who voted for him. With the Trump-hating Republicans Kinzinger and Cheney in full participation as prosecutors in a trial where the accused will be found guilty and — most importantly — the actually guilty Pelosi will be protected.

Exactly as former Speaker Gingrich says: “The Republicans who are collaborating with Pelosi should be ashamed of themselves.”

And “collaborating” is exactly the right word. Yes, Kinzinger and Cheney should be ashamed of themselves. Instead of doing their job and conducting an independent investigation, they have signed on to collaborate with those assigned by Pelosi to protect her from her own dictatorial incompetence at all costs.

One can be sure that those House Republicans, like Ohio’s Jim Jordan and Indiana’s Jim Banks, who are really unafraid of the truth of January 6 — not to mention unafraid of Pelosi — will not forget what Kinzinger and Cheney are about. They will be asking what Kinzinger and Cheney are so terrified of asking:

What did Nancy Pelosi know and when did she know it?

Greg Kelly exposed these “officers” who “testified” as posers last night, posing for magazine, newspaper and TV shoots without a scratch on ‘em literally just a couple of days after the events of 1/6.

Lets see where they end up career-wise in 6-9 months.

Poll Shows Majority Of Americans Believe January 6 Commission Is Biased

Quote:Whatever House Speaker and California Rep. Nancy Pelosi thought that the January 6 commission would do for her and Democrats politically it is starting to appear that it has backfired.

A recent poll from Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey showed that 58 percent of voters believe her commission is biased towards Democrats, The Hill reported.

“Americans want an examination of the riots over the summer and the origins of the virus over investigating Jan. 6th,” co-director of the Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey, Mark Penn, said. “The voters reject the Pelosi move to toss Republicans off of the committee and see it now as just a partisan exercise.”

The poll came after Speaker Pelosi would not seat Republican Reps. Jim Jordan and Jim Banks on the committee.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy responded by removing all of his Republican appointees from the committee, leaving Speaker Pelosi to select two anti-Donald Trump Republicans, Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, to represent the GOP.

They were appointed, with three other Republicans, by Rep. McCarthy days ago in an effort to cooperate with the Democrat-led committee as he was requested to do.

“Speaker Nancy Pelosi has taken the unprecedented step of denying the minority party’s picks for the Select Committee on January 6. This represents an egregious abuse of power and will irreparably damage this institution. Denying the voices of members who have served in the military and law enforcement, as well as leaders of standing committees, has made it undeniable that this panel has lost all legitimacy and credibility and shows the Speaker is more interested in playing politics than seeking the truth,” he said on his website.

“Unless Speaker Pelosi reverses course and seats all five Republican nominees, Republicans will not be party to their sham process and will instead pursue our own investigation of the facts,” he said.

Pelosi announced her rejection of the appointments in a press release on her website.

“The violent domestic attack on Congress on January 6th was the worst assault on the Capitol since the War of 1812 and the worst domestic assault on American Democracy since the Civil War. We are facing a radically new threat in the kinds of forces that combined to attack our government on January 6th. The future of our democracy is on the line. This assault was an attempt to overthrow the government.

“We need a comprehensive investigation as to who organized this attack, who paid for it, how they nearly succeeded in overthrowing a presidential election, why they did it, and how we must organize ourselves to prevent anything like it from ever happening again.

“It had been our hope to establish a bipartisan, independent National Commission, but there is no prospect for that Commission at this time because of insufficient support from Republican Senators. Therefore, the House established the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol. The Select Committee on the January 6th Insurrection will investigate and report upon the facts and causes of the terrorist mob attack on the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021. It will also be charged with reporting its findings, conclusions, and recommendations for preventing future attacks.

“Monday evening, the Minority Leader recommended 5 Members to serve on the Select Committee. I have spoken with him this morning about the objections raised about Representatives Jim Banks and Jim Jordan and the impact their appointments may have on the integrity of the investigation. I also informed him that I was prepared to appoint Representatives Rodney Davis, Kelly Armstrong, and Troy Nehls, and requested that he recommend two other Members,” she said.

Veteran Officer Rakes Democrats Over Burning Coals for Politicizing Police Suicides

Quote:The fact that Democrats are pretending to “Back the Blue” when exploiting discussing the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol building would be adorable, if they weren’t using the suicides of police officers for political purposes. But their ploy isn’t fooling everyone.

A veteran police sergeant is now publicly castigating Democrats for cynically using the deaths of law enforcement officials to pursue a political agenda.

Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith was a 29-year police officer in the Chicago area. Now, she is the spokesperson for the National Police Association. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, she maligns the left for using the suicide deaths of Capitol police officers to smear their political opposition. The Daily Mail explains:

She and other cops have become disgusted with how Democrats in Washington and ‘the media’ have politicized the deaths of Howard Liebengood, Jeffrey Smith, Gunther Hashida and Kyle Defreytag – four officers who responded to the riot and have since killed themselves.

Brantner Smith notes that there is no evidence directly tying these suicides to the events of Jan. 6 and that suicide is disturbingly common among America’s law enforcement agencies. She says:

“We don’t know why these officers committed suicide. Police officers see horrible things every day from the minute they get out of the police academy. We don’t know why any police officer kills themselves unless they leave a detailed accounting of why they killed themselves and most do not.”

The former officer continues: “To my knowledge, none of [these four] officers left any kind of detailed accounting of why. That’s why it’s important that we don’t assume, and we don’t politicize,” then states that many officers find the exploitation of these suicides to be “distasteful.”

Brantner Smith observes that after one riot, “suddenly police suicide is a big deal.” She also points out that “no one is talking about all the other cops who are killing themselves” and that the “politicization of this topic is abhorrent.”

The Daily Mail notes:

The suicide rate among American police is higher than it is in the wider population; 13 out of every 100,000 people die by suicide in the general population, that number increases to 17 out of 100,000 among police officers.

In 2019, 200 officers killed themselves. In 2020, there were 173 police officer suicides and in 2021, there have already been 90.

Brantner Smith makes valid points – the left is brazenly using these suicides to benefit themselves politically. They have not ascertained that it was the Capitol riot that was the sole motivation behind these tragic deaths. To be fair, the families of two of these officers have publicly stated that the riot motivated the suicides and, of course, there is no reason to assume they are politicizing their loved ones’ deaths.

Still, it does not account for the other two suicides. Moreover, regardless of the reason, taking advantage of these tragedies is lower than whale dung. People can criticize the riots all they want; there are plenty of valid reasons to do so. Even further, exploiting the Capitol riot for political purposes is absurd – but it’s also politics. A certain level of politicking is expected in this type of situation.

However, those who view a police officer’s suicide as an opportunity to score more cheap political points against Republicans are about as reprehensible as it gets. But, what else can we expect from these people?

You clowns loved the investigations on Benghazi but don’t like an investigation into our Capitol being attacked? Not surprising. Who really hates our country?

There already were multiple congressional hearings on the matter, what makes you think a democrat-controlled commission(it’s not bi-partisan) that picks the committee members would be any fairer especially since we have already seen the scripted narrative-driven hearings so far and it’s a farce

Lets see where they end up career-wise in 6-9 months.

Not todays Democrats. Democrats are never embarrassed by their wild over the top hate speech and lying propaganda. As long as they have the "fake news" press to dutifully echo their false propaganda agenda---then it will be "real" enough for the Dembots....facts or truth no longer matters to them.

Pelosi's Jan 6 committee asks Jim Jordan to appear—after refusing to seat him

Quote:After refusing to seat him on the House special committee on January 6, that committee, under House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has asked Congressman Jim Jordan to meet with them and provide specific information.

The committee is looking for correspondence and communication between Jordan and then-President Trump prior to the riot on January 6 at the Capitol Building early this year. They are intent in trying to find evidence of pre-planning of that happening, despite the FBI's report showing that there was "scant evidence" to suggest that the riot was not a spontaneous event.

https://rumble.com/vrah4o-rep.-jim-jorda...ppear.html

Speaking to Primetime on Wednesday night, Jordan was asked appearing before the committee. He was asked by Fox News' Brian Kilmeade if he would consider sitting down with the committee that had refused to seat him among their ranks in July.
"We're going to review the letter," Jordan said, "but I've got to be honest with you, I've got real concerns about any committee that will take a document and alter it and present it to the American people, completely mislead the American people like they did last week. And it turns out, it looks like it wasn't just one document they did this with, but it was other text messages as well. So I've got real concerns with that."

Those doctored messages were read aloud on Monday December 13 on the floor of the House. Rep. Adam Schiff presented a text message from a Congressman that he claimed showed that Trump's chief of staff Mark Meadows told then-Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

But it was discovered that the message was heavily edited before Schiff showed it to Congress. Punctuation was added, and two paragraphs were left out entirely. "In his graphic, Schiff erased the final clause and the em dash preceding it and added a period to the first clause without disclosing that he or his staff had chopped up the text and created a fake graphic misrepresenting the actual contents of the text message," The Federalist reported.

Jordan isn't spending a whole lot of time worrying about January 6, despite some of his Democrat colleagues being hyper-focused on the events of a single afternoon last January. Instead, he is concerned with the crisis at the US-Mexico border, which people continue to pour across with barely an acknowledgement from the Biden administration.

He's concerned with America's lack of energy independence and the current administration's fight to get OPEC to increase production instead, and the record high crime levels across the US. As far as investigations go, Jordan is much more interested in digging into Dr. Anthony Fauci's gain-of-function research and the Department of Justice's partisan investigation into concerned parents at school board meetings.

Jordan was appointed to the Jan 6 committee by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, along with four other GOP House members, but Pelosi refused to seat both Jordan and REp. Jim Banks of Indiana. In retaliation, McCarthy pulled all his appointees from the committee. It has proceeded with two very unpopular members of the GOP, Wyoming's Liz Cheney and Illinois' Adam Kinzinger, who is retiring at the end of his term. Cheney was voted out of her leadership role in May and kicked out of the Wyoming GOP.
