The arrangement is mutually beneficial. I do think it would boost the tv contract if they went all in, but I don't think that will happen any time soon if ever. If it does happen, we should hold at 15 with no divisions. No need to add a 16 that we really don't want if we don't have divisions.

ND doesn’t want to join a conference for football, but maybe ND and the ACC could possibly collaborate to enhance their media contracts.

Nah, MO as in "if you want MO money, give us YO money"
(Yeah, I watched "In Living Color" back in the day)

I agree the current arrangement is mutually beneficial. But I just don’t know how significant revenue boost we would see if ND went all in.

It looks to me ND chose the exposure over the revenue. Their NBC deal is not that lucrative. Instead ND football games are being broadcast on a national network at a good time slot on Saturdays. If ND wants the same deal as a full time ACC member, that means the ESPN has to take some risk. If ND football ever declines but the ESPN is contractually required to show some of less appealing ND games (for example ND vs Wake or Duke games) in a good time slot instead of potentially better match ups, then that’s a loss for the ESPN.

On the other hand, if ND games are not being broadcast like now, that means ND is going to take the risk of losing its popularity. ND games have been shown whether they were good or not. I think that is one reason why ND didn’t lose a lot of fan interest even when they were not doing well.

The ND media contract is currently on NBC. Maybe there is value in bundling the media contract with ESPN-ACC through 2036.

ESPN may have burned that bridge when they agreed to give the 3:30 pm ABC slot to the SEC every single week starting in 2024.

That may be more damaging than the money.

Their NBC deal is not that lucrative because it's never been competively bid. ND likes it the way it is. Money is not their end all be all. Very akin to the ACC and Jefferson Pilot/RayCom.
