Joe has taken his first stab at 2022 bracketology. He has us as a fourteen seed.

You need to post a link to it if you’re going to tell us about this. Real easy to do.

"Lunardi picks us as a fourteen seed" is the entire story.

Playing #3 Alabama in the Midwest Region (Chicago).

Not to beat this to death but the "story"" here is that Lunardi, right now, is saying that NU is the best team in the CAA or at least the likliest team to earn the auto bid. Who our opponent would be or what region we would play in as of nine months before the tourney will be played is irrelevent.

RE: Lunardi
You’re making this a bigger “story” than it is.
His prediction could change next month. Who they hell knows. It’s no story. He’s picking NU for now. So what.
Yes, we have a lot of new pieces and so he thinks we still are good enough to be the favorite with a decent seed. Great. Does nothing for me right now.
It’s HIS prediction that’s being made 5 months before the ball is tipped.
It’s irrelevant to YOU. I think most people would be interested to see who he has playing and if it’s a fair seed. Meaning a mid-major may have a shot to win the game based on the opponent and matchup.

Wiz, maybe I have been to subtle or too restrained or too respectful. Let me try another approach.
I don't need you to tell me what I "NEED" to do to improve my posts. I mean, were you made some sort of a moderator? Because I keep checking the list and you're not on it. Maybe you appointed yourself.
If you don't like that my posts don't include links then don't read them. I, certainly, will continue to not tell you how to compose your posts.

RE: Lunardi
OK guys, I'll make a humble recommendation we move on from this one since there aren't many posters motivated to discuss NU basketball so I selfishly need you both. I could see what you were each trying to say. I for one always like the Lunardi brackets. Of course, it is all guesswork, especially 9 months from Selection Sunday. It at least gives me a general feel for which way the wind is blowing on particular teams in the eyes of someone paid to know. It also allows me to daydream about matchups for a few minutes.

RE: Lunardi
35, of course, you are right.
I believe that it takes me longer than most to get to a boiling point. I also believe that when someone gets there it's better to let loose than repress. That lets everyone know EXACTLY how you feel and it lays out a path to more effective communication in the future.
My wife says it's frustrating how quickly I move on from a disagreement when she's not ready to.

RE: Lunardi
I think Southern Utah took our fourteenth seed. In the past couple of weeks they signed a 6'9" starter from Central Michigan and a player who made himself NBA eligible announced that he was returning to SUU for his final year, instead of staying draft eligible.

You're not kidding. Every time I watched an Islanders game at Nassau, I thought of that game

Well the Isles are moving into a brand new arena, so you don't have that reminder anymore...

RE: Lunardi
All joking aside, a matchup with Villanova would not be fun to watch. If we are the CAA team that goes to the Tourney we need to have a better seed than the fifteen that Lunardi gives us or the fourteen that College Sports Madness has us at.
