I love this idea! Gives the G5 an opportunity to get one if not two (or even more) conference champs in the CFP every year.

Actually that's not accurate. The top 6 conference champs would be the top 6 seeds with the top 4 getting a bye. So Cincinnati would've been the 5 seed and coastal Carolina would've been the 6 seed. 04-cheers

The graphic is right. The top four conference champions would be the top four seeds and all get byes. The next two best conference champions would be guaranteed autobids to the playoff but not necessarily the #5 & #6 seeds.

Unless ND is included in the ACC this will not be accurate in the end.

Devil will be in the details and dont expect the Big Boys to give in so easy. The rules will be set up to limit the amount of poor schools involved.
