My College Football Postseason Proposal (2 of 2)
This is my proposal for the postseason (12 team playoff/bowl season) and a continuation of my regular season proposal with a 13 game schedule. This provides more inventory for ESPN and other networks if they bid for bowls, which are divided into 4 Tiers (Examples of Tiers 1 & 2 from 2017-2020 seasons below). This also eliminates 5 or 6 ESPN bowls while adding 3 or 4 more games to the postseason (not counting all-star games), which I think is in ESPN's best interests, but the FBS conferences could try to use multiple networks for their games. This also puts importance on having a winning record to get into a Bowl Game rather than 6-6 or 5-7 rewarding teams on a successful season. I know there are many bowl games that most won't care about, but I think this is a reasonable result. Dates could be adjusted as well since the committee is looking to extend the season further into January, but I feel like that would be pushing the season too long and I think the CFP would have a better time competing against the NFL regular season rather than the playoffs.

Bowl Season
- Starts: Monday after 1st Round
- Ends: Friday before National Championship
Bowl Game Eligibility: 7 Wins (8 Wins also an option)
- No Bowl Tie-ins outside NY6 (Listed Below)
Total Games: 45 or 46 (37 or 38 with 8 win eligibility)
- 11 Playoff Games + 34 or 35 Bowls Games (26 or 27)

- Top 6 Conference Champs + Top 6 At-Large Teams

- 4 Semifinalists are reseeded
- Championship Game potentially moved to 2nd Saturday in January

Tier 1 (Playoff Revenue):
- 12 Team CFP (includes 2 NY6 Bowls hosting Semis)
