Nathan Knight Continues to Make HISTORY
Just last night, W&M alum NATHAN KNIGHT MADE HISTORY! Read about Knight's historic rookie season as the Green & Gold's first modern-era NBA player. And oh yeah, we included loads of video highlights.

Do folks on these boards think Nate is due for more playing time next season? From watching him in-person during shoot-around last night, I can tell you firsthand how much Atlanta's players love him. He has specific handshakes for multiple (if not all) players on the team & is often seen joking around with everyone / serving as a hype man off the bench; it also doesn't hurt that Trae Young is one of those guys he shares a handshake with (Trae also spoke highly of Nate during the season).

LET'S GO TRIBE!

RE: Nathan Knights Continues to Make HISTORY
If Atlanta didn't have as many players at his position, I think he'd be in line for more time in the NBA next year. I suspect he'll be headed to the G League since Atlanta's farm team will actually be playing instead of opting out next year. But with his two-way contract he should get some time with the Hawks again when injuries show up. It'll be interesting to see what happens with John Collins, Solomon Hill, and Bruno Fernando. Collins' and Hill's contracts are up after this season, Fernando is up next season. Collins is only 23 (actually a little under a month younger than Knight) and Fernando is 22. I expect Nathan to at least be behind Capela, Gallinari, and Okongwu going into the preseason next year. Fernando is cheap and young, but IMO Nathan has showed more of a 3-and-D skillset, minus the D. I don't pretend to know how NBA teams think, but if I were Nathan I would spend the offseason focusing on defensive rotations and closeouts and shoot a million 3s from the spots Trae Young likes to kick to in the Hawks offense.
