Northeastern outfielder Jared Dupere was named to the Collegiate Baseball All-American third team, announced on Thursday. Dupere, a native of Amesbury, Mass., set a new single-season school record with 21 home runs this season.

The 2021 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year, Dupere is currently batting .351 and currently has a single-season school record .807 slugging percentage. His 21 home runs ranks third in the country and is sixth-best in CAA single-season history. Dupere has driven in 48 runs for the Huskies and blasted four home runs in the CAA tournament to help lead Northeastern to its first-ever CAA tournament championship last weekend at UNCW.

Dupere started in 46 games in right field and posted 11 doubles, two triples and stole 14 bases in 15 attempts. He earned 32 walks and has homered in four of his last five games. He garnered All-CAA first team accolades and was named to the CAA All-Tournament Team.

RE: NCAA Tournament
It was a shame we couldn't get more than 4 runs in the first 3 innings. Couple mishaps on the bases. Keane looked good til the homer, and unfortunately Scotti had control issues and fell behind in the count nearly every batter he faced.

Certainly some good things about the game, but tough to lose after feeling so good early on in the game.

NU lost to NJIT 3-2 and was eliminated from the Fayetteville Regional.

Another 0-2 disappointment.

But I want to thank the seniors for their contributions to the program.

I’ll have more to say about this on Sunday as I need a 24 hour respite.
