Both games are on the road. We're happy that they're 12 noon on CBS leading up to the SEC game of the week. Ratings should be stellar.
I wouldn't bet on that. ESPN, ABC, and Fox will have P5 games opposite them. I'm sure they'll be better than CBS SN ratings, but I'm not buying that because they are before the SEC the ratings will be higher. In fact there will be other SEC games competing with them. And B1G games.

Interesting question.
CBS doesn't do a lot of noon timeslot games. Even with SEC doubleheaders, far more likely to be afternoon and primetime.
CBS SEC Noon games
'19 UF-Missouri 2.29 million viewers
'18 Miss TxA&M 2.13 million viewers
'17 Miss St Ark 1.678 million viewers
'17 UF S.Car 2.391 million viewers
'16 S.Car UF 2.45 million viewers.
In 2016, ND at Navy was also a noon game - 2.42 million viewers, pretty close to ND at Navy at 8 ET from San Diego in 2018 - 2.447 million viewers.
Some NON SEC games on CBS due to pandemic last year: App St at Marshall 1.25 million viewers, and a mwc matchup SDSU-Nev 859k viewers. Both were in the SEC 3:30 on CBS timeslot
So, it will be interesting to see the difference between an early-season noon slot and the Black Friday noon slot, and also AF at Navy on CBS at 3:30 on September 11th. edited to add: Oh, and Army at AirForce at 0930 local time on CBS ota 06 November
