Thank you for writing that.

It's true that I have put a lot of time into the research.

I've been trying to do whatever I can to promote the conference and the rights of the non-P5 conferences.

Glad that there are some people who appreciate it.

Maybe I’ve been a bit harsh on you but you do go overboard with it a lot, which turns people off.

RE: AAU Standing
One wonders why most of the high viewership threads have been moved to the "Off-Topic" section, and

Whether they were all moved by one moderator, or

Was it a decision that they all agreed with..."

...even though some of the moderators were actively participating in those threads?

If they agreed, do they oppose discussion of the AAC's future on the main board?

If they don't agree, will they get together and rectify the situation?

Their commitment to doing so is very inspiring and laudable.

Some of those who may once laughed at the idea may have begun to notice that their USF degrees are worth more now in the marketplace, and that they bring them more respect, as a result of USF improving academic standards.

I'm glad that someone started this thread, because I hadn't realized that Cincy, Houston, and USF might all have the potential to become AAU schools if they continue their current progress.

Nope

Exactly. Nope. That clown has no clue about anything.

+2 for the clown reference. ClownClampett

The AAU is a boys club. It’s as much who you know as how qualified you are. UAB is ranked 38 on the top research universities and there is no way in hell they get an invitation.

After that academic scandal, where Lori Laughlin tried to buy her daughters' way into USC... I'm over this college academic ranking B.S.
It's just another tool used to separate the Haves from the Have-Nots.
Just my opinion...yours may vary.

RE: AAU Standing
There has been a lot of discussion of UAB's rankings. Some statements of it being higher than any AAC school. Not true. The following shows how it ranks relative to AAC schools. It is strong in research $. Otherwise it is mediocre.

Competitively funded federal research (2017 National Rank)

The Univ of Alabama med school at Bham is 38.

The UAB undergraduate school, meh.

Call it a boys club all you want but UAB is not a good example.
