So the governor has basically rescinded the mask mandate for everyone in Virginia who has been fully vaccinated, and all attendance restrictions are going bye bye on May 28. Given these recent events, does anyone in the know have any clue as to when the ticket office is going to send out information on renewing football season tickets?

If I were the AD, probably end of June at the earliest. Worst case scenario is that you immediately go back to pre-pandemic behavior and then things change and you have to figure out how to change everything. Sending out conditional season ticket ordering information would be another possibility, but has the potential of confusing messaging. Ultimately it depends on risk assessment for various options, and since we won't be in the room for those discussions, hopefully the folks here will be lenient in their criticism of whatever plan the athletic department goes with.

Or for the standard Internet reaction: Why isn't it already out? I can't believe this is taking so long! There should be an extra football season in the summer to make up for postponing the football season last year, and then a regular season in the fall, and then maybe another spring season to make it up to the fans! It's not hard to do!

Got an email today but it is really nothing more than the verbiage found on the website that says that season ticketholders will be getting an email about renewal.

Got my email this afternoon about football season ticket renewal. Just finished going online and renewing my seats. To be specific, all you can do at this time is renew your tickets without your seats being assigned to you. This gives the ticket office a little wiggle room on the off chance that a social distancing mandate in the future caused them to have to move some ticketholders around.
