-UND has won 11 straight at home, 6 over ranked. Going back to 2018 (UND's last season as a Big Sky member), excluding their 2018 P5 loss @ Washington:
Home: 12-1 (7-1 vs ranked). Last home loss was 2018 to then #4 Weber 35-30.
Away: 5-8 (1-4 vs ranked).
Clearly they are a MUCH better team at home in their dome. The contrast is striking. They're like an NDSU at home, and on the road are subpar..
To clarify 1st I-AA/FCS playoff win in school history.. UND 'Sioux/Fighting Sioux' have a LONG, storied college football history. The 'Fighting Hawks', not so much.
UND field their 1st football team in 1894.
-1922-2008 were in the North Central Conference, winning 26 conference championships. Became the "Sioux" in 1930 and the "Fighting Sioux" in 1969.
-1955-1972 played in the 'College Divison'. 1972 finished 2nd to UD for the 'College Division National Champion.'
-1973 to 2007, were Div II, 14 playoff appearances, winning the National Championship in 2001.
2008 to present have been FCS (2008-2011 ineligible for playoffs).
-2008–2011: Great West Conference
-2012–2017: Big Sky Conference (Name change from the "Fighting Sioux' to the 'Fighting Hawks'.
-2018-2019: Independent
-This (2020) is their 1st season in the MVFC.
FCS playoffs (2016, 2019, 2020/21)
-2016 Round of 16 RU 27, #7 UND seed 24.
-2019 First Round @ Nicolls St 24, UND 6.

And that is the conclusion of your history lesson in the Univ of North Dakota Sioux/Fighting Sioux/Fighting Hawks football.
