RE: Delaware
Very nice win in game 2 as well. 6-5. After a tough top of the 8th where we gave up 4 runs to turn a 4-1 lead into a 5-4 deficit, we rallied to get 2 in the bottom of the 8th on
a 2 out, 2 run single by Danny Crossen. Yost held the lead in the 9th to pick up his 2nd save of the day. 2 more tomorrow

RE: Delaware
NU completes the 4-game sweep by sweeping another doubleheader, beating the Blue Hens 3-1 and 9-4.

Cam Schlittler picked up his 3rd win (3-0) going 7 innings in Game 1 (5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K) and Sebastian Keane also picked up his 3rd win (3-1) going 6 innings in Game 2 (5 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 7 K).

Jared Dupere hit 2 bombs in Game 2. He now has 10 HR's this season and Freshman Max Viera made his return after missing 12 games with a foot injury. He singled in his 1st AB before taking a pitch off his face his next AB (hope he's okay).

The sweep moves NU to 19-6 on the season. They have won 9 straight and 15 of their last 16 games.

NU will host Towson for 4 games next weekend. All 4 games can be seen on NESN Plus.

RE: Delaware
NU split the 4-game series at Delaware.

After winning the first 2 games by a combined score of 34-5, they lost the last 2 games 5-3 and 9-7. The 5-3 loss in Game 2 of the twin-bill Saturday snapped NU’s 20-game winning streak, tying the 1991 team record.

The 26-4 win in the 1st game of the DH saw the Huskies set new single-game high marks for runs scored and margin of victory.

NU is now scheduled to play a 3-game series at Towson (Thurs., Fri. and Sat.) to make up a series that was lost in April due to COVID-19.
