No one should be in jail or have a record because of weed.

Licensed buyers sign away welfare and other hand out benefits, obviously those benefits like social security that have been paid into remain.

And im talking for everything

And yes do the same with alcohol and tobacco

Just curious, do you feel that way about all medications?

Should insulin users sign away welfare and other hand out benefits?

How about someone taking statin? Should they sign away?

How about someone with a broken leg taking pain meds? Should they?

How about make a list of medicine that you personally disapprove of and should be on the list?

Wait what?

Everything you listed are treatments prescribed by a physician.

Recreational use of drugs, that in turn causes a drag, no pun intended, on the system should disqualify you from assistance.

Im all for medical use of MJ, but we were not talking about that. If someone has a prescription for it, fine by me... all good.

Uh, what's the difference? I get your point about doing it in public but aside from that what difference does the delivery system make?

And I mean this sincerely.....

THE SMELL.

As a teen/20-something, I enjoyed the smell. That was back in the early '90s. They are growing some skunk-ass weed these days. It is disgusting.

Back when I was in my mid-20s, it was my wife and I anniversary and we had dinner planned. I came home from work feeling fine, but over the course of about 10 minutes I went from feeling fine to being as sick as I have ever been, before or since. Still forced myself to going to dinner. My wife ordered Chicken Alfredo. The smell of it made me so sick we had to leave. Til this very day 25 years later... the smell of Alfredo turns my stomach. So I agree with you... All smells that might upset someone should be banned and made illegal.

100% ban on all alfredo so I never have to smell it.

I like where you are going with this..

Dont like the smell of poop either, so from this day forward all poop is illegal!

lol.... fried foods would then become illegal...muh turds smell better than some of those 'joints'...'course, the jarooneys would call that rasisss

fwiw, loved the smell at my first concert in '79....still love it to this day.....

nothing better than hitting the first toke...

Well, try smoking a cigarette in a lot of public places. People practically have to hide behind a brick wall to steal a smoke these days. But now we'll allow open pot smoking instead? Should there be no restrictions on blazing up in a public park? At a Disney world type place? Sidewalks? Gotta be some kind of restriction IMO.

Smoke all you want on your deck or patio.

I mean... That is so full of crap, I wouldn't know where to begin to rebut. Let's start with your "illness". If you were NOT ill when you went to the restaurant, you would not have found the Alfredo offensive. I'm not saying the smell of burning pot makes me ill after I have fallen ill. It stinks to high heaven to me and a whole lot of other HEALTHY people.

Dog poop? Yeah, I don't like it either, but it is a necessary bodily function of a dog. Smoking pot is not necessary.

Look, I was all pissed when they kicked us smokers out of restaurants and grocery stores, etc. I still smoke. About 1/2 pack a day. But I have to say, after a couple of decades, going into a pool hall about a year ago for the first time in forever, and the place was translucent with smoke. I thought to myself, "yeah, it was a good idea to get rid of this in most places. This is ridiculous."

What else ya got...

I had that same though because even a misdemeanor would still fall under the state penal code (its that way in KY). But maybe in Alabama a mayor has pardoning powers for misdemeanors in their city.

Either way government needs to get out of the business of dictating what people can put into their body. Of course unless it affects someone else. In that case there are state and federal laws to cover those charges.

I'm for less laws and more freedom of choice on what we decide to put into the body. Of course unless it affects someone else. Maybe going out and hurting someone while hopped up on drugs is not a good enough reason to make a criminal out of the person for using. There's already laws on the books to cover the hurting or killing or what ever.
