I didn’t expect him to have such a hardon for Brannen. Surprising.

The punishment should fit the crime. Doss is hereby required to transcribe all Butch Jones press conferences and provide weekly essays on Kenpom to Bearcatmark for three months.

JFC are you guys thin skinned.

Maybe try to not rise to every post that Doss drops to troll you.

FYI you are actually allowed to ignore posts.

I don't see any reason to ban him for crying out loud.

Although, you could've upped the ante with transcribing Cadaverville pressers instead [add the requisite sniffs too].

Did we ever have top 25 recruiting classes under Cronin? I know we had at least one with Huggs.

I thought we had a top 25 with Cronin. Not sure about Huggs.

It should be a goal. We have a top 25 facility and a borderline top 10 all-time program, so we should recruit like it. Especially if football is closing in on that accomplishment.

Not for Cronin but I don’t think it matters.

The class with Gary Clark and the class with Evans, Jennifer and Scott were both in the 30’s. I’ll take those guys over rankings all day long.

Those are the types of classes we need every year. Not just once in a decade.

Remember when Rath quit posting for like a year? It was surreal. Now he is back with a vengeance making up for lost time.

To be fair, most of those are off on the far reaches of this forum site talking about conspiracy theories. At least most of mine are just on game threads because I have no one to talk to about Cincinnati sports where I call home 03-lmfao

Guys like Nacho thought Kirkland would not have blown out his knee in 2006 had Bob not been fired because of changes in the space time continuum. True story. 03-lmfao

RE: What does successful Miller time look like?
(04-20-2021 09:04 AM)Cal1362 Wrote:  My expectations of Coach Miller are simple:
1 - "Represent the C" Engage with the students and the fans. Be a cheerleader for the program, your kids and the University. Be proud to be part of Bearcat Nation. and all that stuff. Be part of the community in a non-basketball way. Realize that the Bearcat "brand" can be almost just as strong here as the Tar Heel brand is there

2 - Give me a team I want to watch. Please notice I didn't put a number of Ws or Ls next to that. I've been a UC fan since the late 70s so I've watched a lot of Bearcat teams get "out talented" but very seldom did I see teams that were unwatchable. For me, this team was just that. For the first time in literally 40 years I didn't CARE when they played after about the half way point of the year. I still hoped they would win, but I couldn't justify investing an afternoon to watch.

3 - Get your kids an education and run a clean program. Hopefully we have a few come through that leave for the NBA early, so I won't say graduate everyone. Progress them through school and do it without all the negativity surrounding big time college athletics today. Winning isn't everything or even the most important thing.

4 - Be YOU and F the world! No, not Bobby Knight throwing chairs or Huggins in that bright yellow suit crazy. If that means game scores of 98-95 and playing like Loyola Marymount of old - so be it. If that means 61-64 and back cutting all day like Princeton - so be it. Your team, your philosophy, your culture. Just be open and honest about it. Because at the end of the day... it's your a$$. So do you, and own it.

I may be old school... and I am... but all the other stuff like Ws and Ls and tourney appearances and Sweet 16s and beating X and recruiting will fall into place, if you take care of those types of things. JMO

right on, Cal.
