Marshall Green and Wh... Black game...
This year the annual Green/White game was Green vs Black unis. That probably went over like a turd in a punch bowl to the traditionalists. Hahaha

Tell you what, either our defense is stellar or our offensive line sucks and Wells is so so at best. This team has a LOT of work to do. Huff seems to be VERY RB heavy in that the RB seems to be the first option and not the check down. I was more impressed with the 2’s.

We shall we I suppose.

A lot of starters out, Sheldon Evans, Broc Thompson and about 3/4 the OL and a lot of defense didn't play that much. This plus implementing Coach Huff's new system means no one was going to play like they would midseason or even at the beginning of the season.

Players that did shine today was CB Immanuel Bush, DB Joshua Bowers, S E.J. Jackson and LB Eli Neal on defense and RB Rasheen Ali, WR Shadeed Ahmed, TE Devin Miller on offense.

Just curious, since you mentioned it @Herdzoned, what system is he implementing on offense? Just for my own curiosity.

Heavy RB short game with air raid, long moves down the field. Trying to spread both directions. Best way I know to describe it.

Check out Tim Cramsey at Sam Houston rather than Tim Cramsey at Marshall the last few years. We're moving more towards the former and away from the latter. The RB changes are no doubt a function of Huff's expertise.

More short runs between the tackles and air it out deep more times than short to mid range. Huff wants the other teams defensive secondary backing up on their toes.

Think Oregon under Chip Kelly meets Hal Mummee and Tim Couch at Kentucky.

Half the starting offense didn’t play and limited play calling. Defense played well with constant pressure. All is fine boys. No worries
