As many of you have heard (or received e-mail invitations), the inaugural 4-day scholarship auction dubbed Night of Flight kicks off next week-- commencing at 12:00am on Monday, April 19th and culminate with a live virtual event at 7:00pm on Thursday, April 22nd. They will have over 70+ items and experiences up for bid, including some great items that will interest people who may not have direct ties to Rice Athletics. Just a sampling of the items up for bid include:

• Napa Valley Getaway Package
• Courtside seats to the Houston Rockets
• Wine Tasting for eight (8) with Accolade Wines CEO Robert Foye `88
• Pitmaster Experience with Gatlin’s BBQ Founder Greg Gatlin `03
• Houston Astros suite experience for twelve (12) people
• 3-day hunting trip for two (2) in Big Bend National Park

All proceeds from the auction to support student-athlete scholarships at Rice University.

Geez. She's a Rice grad and is still enrolled in graduate studies. Also, there's still a chance she returns for her 5th season of eligibility.

She’s in the portal. Suppose she could come back but typically not a good sign.

AFAIK, yes, she has graduated. I don’t really have an “issue” with it per se... I just think it’s odd for her to speak on behalf of the Rice student-athlete experience when clearly it wasn’t good enough for her to use her final year of eligibility here (assuming she’s leaving).

Just one final reminder-- the virtual event is tonight (Thursday) @ 7:00pm CT, and includes an interesting roster of guest speakers (see above post).

FYI, when they spoke to Mulkey she talked about applying and being accepted to occupational therapy programs. She said she is trying to figure out where she wants to go.

Would imagine she's drawing considerable interest from Texas Tech then. Decent occupational therapy school and something like 10 players have transferred out. They're in desperate need of impact transfers.
