Rice baseball vs Incarnate Word
Probably way more people interested in the soccer game next door than the baseball game. Zaskoda pitching for Rice and gives up the cycle in the 1st inning (homer, triple to the first two batters, then I think it was the single and double later in the inning)?
He only allowed 3 runs. And Rice has managed to tie it up at 3-3 with 4 singles in the bottom half of the 1st. Incarnate Word making a pitching change.

IWU up 4-3 on unearned run in T2.
Now IWU runners at 2nd and 3rd, no outs in T3.

Who will score more tonight - the Rice baseball team or the Rice soccer team?

Can we possibly lose to this program?

Owls on 3rd pitcher. 3-7 still no outs in T3.
What a dumpster fire!

Well on the way. 3-9 now. Owls will be lucky not to get run ruled by “this program”.

3-10 going to B3. 3rd out came on a play at the plate. Runner tried to score from 2nd on an infield single. Why not try? It’s not like IWU having any trouble scoring.

3-10 now in the bottom of the 3rd.
This is ugly!
Grasping right now onto the straw that says the Owls should be able to tee off on UIW pitching at some point over the next 6.1 innings and close the gap. But ugly all around against a team that 10 years ago was Division II and even today is in the left behind part of the Southland.

JK has no cohones. This was a terrible hire. Own the mistake.
Btw - has he even had to fire anyone yet during his tenure? He and Leebron have single handily destroyed men’s sports. Would love nothing more than for both to go.

Feels pretty clear the team has given up on Bragga. You can’t convince me that incarnate word is much more talented than Rice.

Agree with this point. I imagine the coaching staff has as well. Hard to get excited about anything.

Don’t know about the AD, but the president sure has quietly and slowly squeezed the life out of things.
Is he an amazing fund raiser for the school?

Wonder how many of those pro sports board members are there at the game, to see what they have wrought?

Leebron is a figurehead - anyone can do the job because the institution speaks for itself. Starts at the top and he unfortunately will be there until he so chooses to leave based on my uninformed opinion.

At this point, it's a tie.
Actually, Rice baseball has scored 7 already.
lol 4th UIW relief pitcher comes in, and first "two" pitches are a wild pitch and balk to score the Owls 7th run. He should transfer to Rice; he'd be right at home.
Down 7-11 heading to the 5th.

Or he is called out so frequently for his failings by the rice community that he moves along to another institution of higher learning, looking for an incredibly credentialed, brilliant drip?

I hope they can pull this out but let’s be honest here - the worse we do the more likely we see change. Double edged sword unfortunately.

3 errors resulting in 5 unearned runs. What happened to our fielding the past 3 weeks?
UIW has 9 extrabase hits; Rice has none.
Rice down 9-12 entering B7.
