Charity Bowl and Rice football memories
Hi all,
Long-time Rice fan and lurker here-- just wanted to post about this annual college football-related charity drive. For several years, the folks at EDSBS/Banner Society have been running a charity drive to benefit New American Pathways, an Atlanta-based org that supports new immigrants to the US on their way to citizenship. They've game-ified it to play on college football rivalries and provide a running tally of donations made in different programs' honor. Michigan has run away with the title for past several years, and Rice finished 81st last year (prob ahead of their FBS rank?). I've already made one donation of $19.17, recurring monthly, to commemorate the last time the Owls beat UT in 1994, which is probably still my second-fondest Rice sporting memory (only behind being in Omaha in 2003). In the past, I've also donated $31.38 (1997 loss to UT in a great back and forth game) and $30.06 (for the last bowl win over Fresno), among others. Anyone else have some random game scores they want to reminisce about? Please donate and push Rice up the leaderboard if you feel inclined!

So what have we here? Hard to tell, really. Just what is the EDSBS? This is not a crowdsourcing, fundraising message board. Just whom do you really represent? Any chance of there being a hidden agenda here? Naahhh.
Look, just leave. And don’t come back.

Hello- not a hidden agenda, EDSBS is a long-running college football fan site. Certainly not pressuring anyone or hiding any agenda, it's just a bunch of college football fans from all over who like to show school spirit. Have a nice day!
