To the Connecticut Sun, whose GM and head coach happens to be, arguably, the best women’s basketball coach in MAC history, Curt Miller. It was probably Kelly’s 2nd half in the MACC game that did it for Miller while he was rooting for the Falcons. Obviously, he wanted to make sure Kelly would not come back to CMU for her extra year of eligibility, removing a big obstacle for the BG women’s program in its pursuit to raise yet another championship banner next year.
Good news for the MAC and says a lot about the conference’s quality of play in WBB. Now to address Richaun Holmes’ status as the only active NBA player from the MAC...

There was another announcement this week that will highly effect the MAC women's championship race. CeCe Hooks removed her name from the WNBA list and announced she was returning to Ohio. Last year OU was slowed by injuries to Erica Johnson. If they are healthy next year, they should be at least Co-favorites with BG.

And Gabby Burris just announced that she is returning to Ohio for a 5th season as well.
