Owls at Texas A&M - track and field
Sam Woodley, the 21 year old British freshman, won the discus with a throw of 58.71 meters, which would put him #5 on the NCAA list right now. Great wind for throwing today, I am told.

Julie Perez was 2nd in the women's discus with a 53.79, and James McNaney was 2nd in the men's javelin.

Khayla Patel won the women's 5,000 by 10 seconds in 17:44.48

Michelle Fokam hit 13.52 meters (44' 4ΒΌ") in the triple jump, keeping her at #6 on the NCAA national list, and also qualified her for the United States Olympic Trials (13.50 is the standard).

She becomes the 3rd Owl to qualify (Grace Forbes - 10K; Ari Ince - javelin).
