Last Chance: ONE Prediction next EMU MBB HC
Today might be the day that a name leaks or is made known by Twitter, Internet, etc.

ONLY ONE guess per poster. NO editing. NO "I think X, however, if X doesn't take it I'll go with either Y | Z."

Think that your pick was cast in stone, not on a word processor.

Please give a detailed reason why you chose whom you did. You might wish to discuss the candidates professional aspirations, current job, salary history, connection to EMU or MI or both.

RE: Last Chance: ONE Prediction next EMU MBB HC
I'll predict: Stan Heath.

He is at the age if he wishes to become a D-I HC again this is the time. The last train... He obviously knows EMU, MAC, MI, etc. Has won at the MAC level and SEC. He is from Detroit. Has a minimal NBA background through the G-League.

As one of our posters might say, "He checks all the boxes." Safe choice.

I assume that we would pay him much more than the G-League does.

"Cast in concreatas." This is Latin for cast in concrete.

Dwayne Stephens! Younger than Heath! Can recruit with the best of them! Never thought we had a chance!

Stephens would choose CMU over EMU so not him. Heath is a known commodity who loses a lot so not him. Charles Thomas and Earl Boykins are winners and the average EMU fan knows them so either one would be great. I like winners.

Next, let's compare Heath's points total at EMU and NBA with Boykins since you like responding to things that weren't posted. COGS

RE: Last Chance: ONE Prediction next EMU MBB HC
I think the way the hoop dirt article reads definitely indicates the selection is Stan Heath.

Question is, will he take the job? He has a good situation currently, so if he does take the job, I assume it is as some kind of last hoorah return to college basketball prior to retiring coupled with doing so where it all started for him. Most people won’t have the opportunity at such a “neat” life story- probably appeals to him.

I am disappointed that Boykins and Thomas would not be in the final selection given how much value they have provided the EMU program historically. But glad to see Heath come in if he accepts the offer. While he probably gets more credit than is due for Kent St’s elite 8 run given he inherited the players, he is still the one that coached them and was able to take all three team’s he coached to the tourney.

But you constantly have said how great of a coach Keno Davis is, yet he somehow had a worse tenure in the Big East than Stan Heath did. Not shocked at all that you have no consistency in your standards.

How do you know that he can recruit? Is it the lore of Izzy and P5 MSU opportunity? I heard Mark Montgomery was a great recruiter at MSU too.

If Heath is the choice and takes the job it will be his way of giving back to EMU.

Have some fun and compare Heaths qualifications to Boone Ramsey and Murphys qualifications when we hired them.
