Hawks just need to get their plate approach right and to start stringing together some hits. They need to play together and to pick one another up. That's what it's going to take. The pitching is good enough to win all CAA games.

Doubleheader with Elon will start tomorrow at noon. Must, must, must win both.

Just want them to play together and have fun. If they do that, things will look up.

Having fun is great. However, these are two must win games. Zero excuses. Drop one and this team is in serious trouble.

This is just a bad, bad place to be. We're hosting the tournament this year (only a 1 shot deal in the short term, Elon hosts in 2022; TBD in 2023 and beyond) and are at risk to miss out on participating in it entirely.

We're in 4-7, last place in the South Division and in 7th overall at this moment and are lagging behind W&M (7-7) and JMU (4-4), who are the 5/6 seeds right now. Only 10 games left in CAA play.

The only positive to note is that IF the lightbulb were to go on for this team and we went on a run starting with this final game of the Elon series, we're not far away from the top of the division and the # 2 seed (Charleston, 7-5). Northeastern is approaching virtual lock territory for the # 1 seed, at 7-0 in the North Division currently. They host Towson for a 4-game series next weekend, and can secure their position even if they only split the series.

Seems like a completely different reaction to a UNCW team hanging in last place over here on the baseball thread. If this were basketball, the coach would be getting slaughtered. Wonder why that might be?
