I really hate April 1st. Just a wasted day on the sports news calendar.

Never was a fan. Except messing with teachers in like grade school that couldn’t return a good prank too harsh.

Does anyone remember the day Lance McAllister led off his afternoon show with Reds trading for Cliff Lee in 2008 or 2009. That was a great sports prank. I still laugh about that one.

RE: Brian Kelly stepping down from Notre Dame
Back in the day I was in charge of the Weekly Fantasy Asylum news and tidbits info and one year the report fell on April Fools Day. I started with a real news story and then one that Tom Brady had suffered a possible career ending injury doing something completely stupid (I'm too old to remember, but it was just something crazy stupid that should have been red flag one). Then in related news, the Patriots are finalizing a deal to send like 5 star players and 3 first round draft picks to the Colts for Peyton Manning. Added a couple more ridiculous ones too.

I got so much hate mail and calls to be fired and refunds for any premium stuff (This was free piece) and quite a few people thought it was legit and one guy even told me he was trying to trade for a QB since he had Brady in a dynasty league and wanted to strike quickly...LOL. The owner asked me not to do it again, but he laughed his butt off, especially at all the hate mail. Told me it was epic, even though it was so obviously fake news that so many people went so insane on that.

I had friends that were lifelong fans. They were emailing their friends saying the reds were going to win the world series, calling everyone they knew telling them about it.

That is hilarious.

Awesome. One of these days we need another board meetup and maybe I can take you up on that.

Haha I do it because I care. Robertfoshizzle, sorry for giving you a heart attack. You can blame Bearcat Jerry.

I saw his post on thread he created for Cunningham to Kansas: "I'm a little disappointed that this was the only "April Fool's" thread I have seen today..."

Ask and ye shall receive lol

April Fools day notwithstanding, we should all know that Kelly wouldn't leave Notre Dame unless and until he could show up at the football team's end-of-season celebratory banquet surrounded by security guards and wearing a tie with his new school colors.
