All these games today FG% ugly. I didn't see a team today who could win it all.

Cuse couldn't hit water from the beach. Houston looks like they're going to blow them out in the second half unless they go completely cold

Refs doing their best to keep Syracuse in the game.

I have always thought Syracuse gets the calls in the tournament, but it was blatant for a few stretches this game, such as the start of the second half. That zone is effective because Syracuse can bump and push all over without getting called, but Houston was racking up the touch fouls for awhile there.

Watching this Houston run just makes me even more pissed that we weren't able to take advantage of the same damn situation a few years ago...

We're Cincinnati, man.

Finding new cruel ways to lose and torture the fan base is what we do.

The Big East and BIG could both be realistically done today.

Memphis wins the NIT. Man they are going to be good next year. I would put them at head of conference over Houston next year.

Even though Gonzaga is ahead by 5, Creighton is really impressing me.

Isn't this what everyone says about Memphis every year?

I don't think anyone overtakes houston next year but they'll be a tourney team for sure. Its going to be tough to keep up with those 2 physically going forward

I think I’m formally interviewing Bama tonight to see if they wish to join their football program as the semi-pro teams that I watch when I’m not rooting for UC. What I’ve seen of what Oats in is doing down there, they are fun to watch.

Hoping the remaining games today are more of a contest than game 1 has been.

Don’t underestimate Penny’s ability to screw it up when games count. The NIT sorta doesn’t.

This Drew Timme clown has earned a spot on the Diego Gueverra award watch list.

Besides the idiotic Hulk Hogan 'stache, his little blowing kisses to the crowd choreography would be worthy of the two shots for an intentional foul in my world.

RE: Countdown to the 2021 National Champions
As I have watched these Sweet 16 teams over the years, it seems like UC has a long way to go to get to that level. Cronin honestly only had two teams on that level, which is why so many fans wanted to move on, and Brannen's teams weren't even in the hunt. It is just very depressing to consider as a UC fan.

It is encouraging that two teams in the Elite Eight are high major programs which manage to exist outside of power conferences. It can be done. (And note that these are 1-2 seeds, not longshots who snuck in.)

A handful of Cronin's teams could have made the Sweet 16, and one did. It wasn't that they weren't "on that level". Sometimes it takes a bit of luck, and we basically had the opposite of that.

It is unreal how locked in this Michigan team is defensively today.
