I think ORU got off about as good of a shot as they could have hoped for just didn’t fall.

Well Arkansas survived more than they won. Whoo Pig! But a great game by Oral Roberts!

Yeah, Oral Roberts played a great game.
And the SEC, which needs more money like I need more calories, gets another tournament credit.

They did. From a defensive standpoint, Arkansas let ORU get off too good of a shot, but of course you really don't want to foul in that situation when you're leading by only 2.

If Texas doesn't blow their first round game vs. ACU, it starts looking like the old SWC!
Could have been potentially 4 of the elite 8.
The collapse of the B1G has given some cover to the Big 12, which started out excellently but ultimately placed only one team in the Sweet 16, a big disappointment.
Big12 3 seeds all disappointed, Texas, Kansas and WVU. All 3 were supposed to still be alive. Baylor and the lower seeds, OU, OSU and Texas Tech, have done about as expected.
Oklahoma State as a #4 should've made the Sweet 16, especially vs. a #12 seed from the Pac 12. I'd argue Texas Tech's a disappointment even though they were a lower seed since they made the title game in 2019 and Arkansas hadn't made the Sweet 16 sine 1996.
I was thinking OSU was a 5, but you are correct, they were a 4. Tennessee was the 5 in that bracket that Oregon St. knocked out first.

Yeah. He was basically open, just rushed it just a pinch.
Both teams were rushing too much the last 5 minutes.

At one point not too many years ago ... I disliked the work of Kevin Harlan.
Now ... quality.

Did somebody in this thread deem Jay Wright the "best coach" in the country? I actually might agree. But that claim on the board ... seems a bit bold.

I hated to see Loyola lose today. But, and let's be blunt, Oregon State was better.

A shame Texas couldn’t get there stuff together. Could have had Texas join the fun too. I’m so happy the old SWC teams are stepping up. A shame big money TV and football have destroyed conferences like the SWC and Big East

Cry me a river! The Big 10 was given 9, set up for 4 more with seeds and even if Michigan loses tomorrow they get 16. The SEC started with 6, earned 3 more, picked up 2 for the sweet 16 and are only guaranteed at this point to finish with 12.
Hey if we put 2 in the final four (not happening) we would still only have 15.
They need to rethink this whole tourney credit thing. They give everyone a full credit for the first round. I'd like to see the first round guarantee each school 1/3rd of the total of 2 full credits and award the winner the other 1/3rd of those full two credits and do that every round through the first round of of the final four.

Syracuse coach Jim beohiem just made a personal change adjusting the zone . We are getting turnovers. This going to be a coaching battle . I like SU in that aspect

Very very impressive team the Houston Cougars have . They look strong Syracuse is going to have play stronger and hope Houston makes mistake turnovers. SU is going to try weaken Houston with foul trouble too. But it’s obvious Houston is stronger and faster twam
