Looking at the conference breakdown for tournament bids (and seeing Jed’s interesting analysis on the AAC board) I decided it would be fun to break down bids by percentage of the conference receiving bids. To make my life easier I only did 2015-2021 to avoid most of the conference realignment, as far as I can tell the only realignment that I had to account for was UConn to the Big East and Valparaiso to the MVC. I decided to do the analysis for the P5, G5, and Basketball conferences (Big East, A-10, WCC, & MVC). CUSA, MAC, and Sun Belt got dropped off because they never had more than 1 bid in those years.

Also I did not use any standard website, I just looked up news stories for each year, which means I could have missed something, I welcome any corrections, see the data I used below.

Impressive for the Big 12...differentiating themselves from the other power conferences. Kansas gets more publicity, but the Big 12 has a lot of other programs that take basketball seriously.
