And you’re right about the Tigers. Social distancing shouldn’t be too hard for a couple months. No one will go to the random day game on a “45 and windy” Thursday. Especially not to see this team. Going to be a long year.
Yeah, I thought the state should have capped the Tigers at say 15K and that would be good for the April and May or maybe all games except the NY Yankees.
Seriously, I'm being geeky but a lot of teams should be allowed say 7,500 for April. 10K for May, 15K for June and maybe 25K starting July 4 (Where did I get July 4th. Oh, I heard it on TV Thursday night).
I'm the big optimist on Covid. I followed what I thought/think was/is a seasonal trend as cases increased significantly in Fall and went through the roof during the heart of winter and the holidays.
By next fall we should be at say 75 - 85% vaccinated.* That means that if the vaxes are working, as we believe they are, the pandemic is in the rear view mirror.
As Dr. Fauci says, "if the virus doesn't replicate, it can't mutate."
* And remember, we have (and will have) many millions who have post infection immunity.
So some will get the shot(s) while others will opt to get their immunity the 'hard way.'
So by the start of the next school year the % of those with some type of immunity could easily be 90+ I'd guess. I don't think the virus can survive those odds. It will dead end. Hubby comes home with covid but can't infect his wife because she has been vaccinated. Two weeks he test negative. Case closed.
