Next up is Butler/Xavier. A total must win for Xavier now IMO. I don't know that they are in with a win, but they aren't with a loss.

On the one hand, the GU vs. MU score is surprising. But given the insane nature of this season, it is not.

Georgetown to beat Nova. Dazzy calls it first on this board.

I didn't even see this until now. Good call Bill lol

Alright, here go: Georgetown to beat the Hall and UConn to topple Creighton. I'm terrible at this, NLess, but maybe we'll see your Huskies in the final against a GU program for which I have a small soft spot in the heart and for which I quietly root.

I'm really hoping you're right, Bill! Would love to see us win the BET in our first year back, and I think CU is going to be our toughest test of all the remaining teams. Plus, I think we should've split with them this year, so I desperately want to take the rubber match lol.

Would be crazy to see GU win the whole thing. If we lose to CU tonight I'll be right there with you in pulling for them!

Good luck to the Huskies, NLess. I plan to watch some of the game tonight. UConn is developing some momentum as the season nears an end. A good time to get hot.

RE: BET Thoughts
We got off to a great start, but Creighton's zone is killing us right now. Sanogo picking up his 2nd foul really hurt us. Hopefully he can stay on the floor in the 2nd half, or this game may get out of reach. Started the game on a 13-2 run, but Creighton has outscored us 28-13 since

Cole and Sanogo going out around the same time at the end of the game really hurt us. Sucks, I really wanted at least one W against Creighton this year. Hope this L doesn't hurt our momentum for the tourney.

On the bright side, I now have no problem rooting for Georgetown to win the whole thing and steal a bid

Tough loss for your Huskies but they are playing well now. Good luck in the Big Dance, NLess.

We will root for the Hoyas tonight. I think Stever will, too. He lives in the D.C. area and I suspect he is a GU fan (to an extent).

Been meaning to ask you who you root for stever. Is it just the league as a whole, or are you a fan of anyone specific?

Of all the posters on CSNbbs who are not fans of a specific AAC program, Stever might be the most respectful of the league. And GoldenWarrior11 has had lots of positive posts about various AAC programs too. And you remain very positive toward the AAC, NLess, which I appreciate.

Wow. Was not expecting this. After last season's turmoil where three players were kicked off the team and the starting backcourt transferred out, I didn't know who was on the roster at the beginning of this year except for Blair, Picket and Wahab. Somehow, they end up winning the BET.

And how about Val with that factoid that Ewing 1st person to win Big East as both a player and a coach.

I still love the AAC. Bittersweet that we left (at first I was downright upset about it, lol.) It's a really fun league that doesn't get enough respect. Memphis-Houston was another great game last night

The 3 you mentioned combined with Harris form a really nice core. I especially love Harris, just plays so hard. It's fun to watch

Lol. I'm a little superstitious in the sense I think good storylines always tend to give a team an edge. Ewing having a chance to bring the Hoyas back to prominence in the year his coach/mentor passed away was too good of a storyline for them to lose. As one of the announcers said last night, it was fate! 04-cheers

Congratulations to the Hoyas. The Big East is better with Georgetown and/or St. John's near the top of the league. Lots of positive momentum next year, regardless of how the tournament shakes out.
