RE: Bubble Watch 3/3/21
So looking-
UConn with a win @ Seton Hall probably goes into lock status you would think
Xavier in a must win on Saturday @ Marquette. Seton Hall would be in a must win on Saturday @ St John's

St John's/PC winner still with a shot- but has a ton of work to do

Was a huge win for us. Not sure I would call it a "statement game" but it's damn close. We beat Georgetown and we should be a lock regardless of what happens in the BET (which I think is wide open now with the Gillespie injury.)

I think you are a lock now. Or darn close to it. I suppose losing to both Georgetown and DePaul(they win the 6/11 game and then beat you guys) might make you go to 1st 4, but I think you're pretty safely in now.

UConn clearly deserves a tourney invite were the season to end today. A very solid team.

Will be interesting to see how Villanova adjusts following the injury.

RE: Bubble Watch 3/3/21
so yesterday before the games Nova was 12 on the seed list, the lowest 3 seed. would get a plus obviously for last night....

But now if he's out- and they lose to Providence and then to the 8/9 winner in NYC- could easily see them dinged to a 5 seed if not lower- as that would be the team that would be playing in the NCAA tourney.

RE: Bubble Watch 3/3/21
Agreed we should be a lock, but can see why losing our next 2 would give some people pause. I think if we beat gtown we go to lock status.

With Creighton suspending mcdermott, I really think the BET is wide open. Anyone seems capable of beating anyone on any given night in this conference. Could we see someone currently not even on every bracketologists' bubble (St John's, Providence) win the whole thing and steal a bid? I think it's possible.

Hoping we win it obviously. Would be a great reintroduction to the league 04-cheers

Lol. I can see why!

Honestly I saw us matched up against Illinois in Lunardi's latest mock and thought, "well there's worse 1 seeds to get pitted against." Would be a tough challenge but they're a beatable team imo.

I actually call 7-10 that normally. A lot of times you get 2 seeds as well with pretty much home games.

We've won a national title as a 7 seed, so tough for me to associate bad times with being put in that part of the bracket 04-cheers
