RE: Men’s basketball should opt out
somebody on twitter broke down who has games this weekend and who doesn't. the league should be putting out a new schedule. i couldn't understand why we didn't play jmu twice while we were down there especially since i think there was snow involved.
we could even move up the jmu game if it would open up possibilities for next week. leaving it up to the individual schools doesn't seem like a good idea.

like jb said...we don't know the inner workings like with everything else.

RE: Men’s basketball should opt out
Adding to this, the whole conference should shut down, like now, so that all teams have enough time to be clean for the conference tournament. Its a whole lot easier to make sure all 10 teams get to participate then leaving it up to chance. Shutting down all now (not that there are many games left that will be played anyhow) allows x number of negative tests heading into Harrisonburg. Seems like a smart move to make. Otherwise at least a team or two will end up forfeiting their chance to make the NCAA tournament, and I have a bad feeling we will be one of them since we have had a perfect season so far on the covid side.

Just a head's up as it has not been announced yet, but the JMU game has been moved up to Friday the 26th at 4.

I just HAD to bump this...only for laughs. Our MBB team would not have had the chance to become champions if they opted out.

W&M Women did opt out and cancelled their season prematurely. It was a team decision.
