Has to be only one player. The question is not "Who is your team's all-time best player", it's "Which one former player would add the most to the team's 2021 roster?"

The idea is that you're plugging in a player based on his college performance, not on his NFL performance, and not on how old he is today.

As you can see above, that's how Terry read the question -- He didn't pick Joe Montana, because the idea is to pick based on the player as he played in college. Likewise, a Michigan fan shouldn't pick Tom Brady.

Roddy White. UAB will be replacing their top 2 wide receivers next year.

Tony Rice. Think he would be a stud in todays offenses

Well, you always want to add an elite QB like Daunte, but the guy that would help us most would probably be Josh Sitton or Torrell Troup...OL or DL. Those are our weak spots right now.

The answer is always Randy Moss.

There is no question who Iowa's number 1 all-time player is. They named the stadium after him. And I would still pick him for the 2021 team.

1939 Heisman winner Nile Kinnick. He played QB, RB, DB, PK & KR. To this day he still holds the Iowa record for interceptions in both 1 season and in a career. Guessing he would play DB and KR on a modern team.

Honorable mention, among many Iowa greats, goes to Duke Slater,, Cal Jones, Alex Karras, Andre Tippet, Chuck Long, Ronnie Harmon, Tim Dwight, Tavian Banks, Bob Sanders, Dallas Clark, Brad Banks, Marshal Yanda, Robert Gallery, Nate Kaeding, Shonn Greene, Brandon Sherf, Desmond King and T.J. Hockeson.

Cincinnati: Ben Mauk.

Hands down the best QB Cincinnati has ever had, and QB is a glaring weakness for UC going into 2021.

Plus he should have gotten the injury redshirt from the NCAA back in 2010.

Cal is (still) going to need more offense in 2021, so the obvious choice is Aaron Rodgers. Tony Gonzalez might rank higher overall, but TE is not the greatest position of need.

As I said on the UC board: Mardy Gilyard. Mardy was the biggest playmaker we ever had, a threat on special teams and at WR. He was a threat to take it to the house every time he touched the ball.

Modern era for Syracuse: Eric Dungey on Offense, Dwight Freeney on Defense

Dungey didn't have the passing ability to land in the NFL but everything he did screamed Warrior

Dwight Freeney was unstoppable. I'll never forget that Saturday night game after 9-11 when he crushed Auburn.

Alex Barron. FSU needs lineman worse than a QB or skill position players.

Pretty easy. Vince Young. We have a QB starting for the first year, so an experienced QB would be a big plus. We have a sophomore RB who has Heisman potential, so we wouldn't need Earl Campbell or Ricky Williams. There would be some argument for Tommy Nobis. Having the greatest linebacker of all time has to be a huge plus, particularly since that isn't a strong point of our defense.

(for those of you who don't recognize Tommy Nobis, he played for the hapless Falcons in the NFL so didn't get the public recognition he deserved. In college he finished 7th in the Heisman and was the #1 overall pick in the 1966 NFL draft).

I'll bet my alma mater would be the only one to suggest a TE. Eric Green would be a beast at Liberty in our current offense under Freeze. Rashad Jennings would be a close second in the same backfield with Malik Willis.
