Due to health issues, it's becoming more complicated to stay on top of this thread. I have been dealing with a digestive disorder for 17 years along with spinal/spinal cord issues dating back roughly 10 years. I'm a fighter and I'm not looking for attention, I just wanted folks to know why I'm not continuing this. New treatments and therapies are in the near future for me and I expect good results.

Over 16,000 views is flattering and I really enjoyed doing this. Recruiting has always been a big interest of mine and I've learned quite a bit doing this. I'll still be around, maybe a little more grumpy at times, to take part in conversations. It's just a commitment that may be as small as this thread to some of you, can be a challenge at times for myself, especially doing it the way I intended.

Thank you all and God bless!
As a lurker on your threads, I appreciate the great work you do. I hope you have great results with your treatments. I makes you realize there are more important things in life than sports (but not by much 03-lmfao)

Praying for you!
Appreciate it! Yes, sports rank very high in my book too!
Best of luck to the Bearcats this year!

Prayers here as well Cubucks

Thanks Cubucs! I really hope the BIG can play this year and at a reasonable start date! Looks like some positive movement in that direction... Until then, you can always root for the Bearcats 04-cheers

Just read this.

Hope all is well.

I've pinched both my femoral and sciatic nerves. So I can somewhat relate to spinal cord issues.

Anyway, take it easy and follow your doctor's orders.

This forum will be here awaiting your full and complete recovery.

Go Buckeye!

One of the issues is a 3 step process. 1st consultation was Tuesday, imaging was today and I now await results so I can schedule surgery. It's moving right along and the outlook is good.

Take care of yourself! I like checking in from time to time. I'm just battling chronic fatigue along with everything else and it's amazing how hard it can be to get out of bed.

When is Michigan going to turn their elite recruiting classes into nationally relevant teams?

I don’t mean this as an attack on a rival but seriously, a program as historically elite as Michigan shouldn’t be in a slump this long. They’ve never even made it to the CCG

It's crazy with the recruits that they bring in every year and the program has been "down" this long, like you said.

I put Michigan, Georgia, Texas and Texas A&M all in the same group of underachieving. Sure, Georgia has been in the CFP, but damn, how has a program gone 40 years since their last NC with all those elite recruits in their state? I scratch my head when thinking of the Texas schools too, too much high school talent to not be spitting out more National titles.

I have been scratching my head for years regarding the decline of D-I football west of the Mississippi. With the exception of Oregon's ascent an appreciable number of programs have backslid. Along with the Texas schools I am stunned by how the likes of UCLA and USC have become afterthoughts.

Yes, people sometimes overlook the high school talent that comes out of California, myself included. P5 schools in that state have plenty of resources to do much better than their current state.

I always thought East of the Mississippi was superior in men's basketball. Only one of the last 20 national champions was won by a team west of the Mississippi (Kansas in 2008). But lately the East is superior in football as well. The West side has never won a CFP and only made one CFP championship game (Oregon in 2014). The last BCS national champion was Vince Young's Texas team in 2005 and they played another team west of the Mississippi, USC, in the championship. You have to go back to 2000 to when a western team (Oklahoma) beat an eastern team (Miami). It's mainly the SEC but Ohio State (Big Ten) and Florida State and Clemson (ACC) are also in that stretch as well.

And you wonder why I say the East is superior and the West is Western crap. So why does the Big Ten have Western crap again?

I suppose, to be fair, it's more the case that UCLA has hit the skids more than USC. UCLA has had fewer glimpses at greatness since the Donahue and Bob Toledo days. USC has had some outstanding years, which I would expect. There's just something soft about UCLA's game lately.
