Censorship from the Left and the Streisand Effect
The Streisand effect is a social phenomenon that occurs when an attempt to hide, remove, or censor information has the unintended consequence of further publicizing that information, often via the Internet. It is named after American entertainer Barbra Streisand, whose attempt to suppress the California Coastal Records Project's photograph of her residence in Malibu, California, taken to document California coastal erosion, inadvertently drew further attention to it in 2003.

Attempts to suppress information are often made through legal action such as cease-and-desist letters, Big Tech companies attempting to suppress free speech and information and lawmakers passing ridiculous measures to promote censorship, but instead of being suppressed, the information receives extensive publicity, as well as media extensions such as videos and spoof songs, which can be mirrored on the Internet or distributed on file-sharing networks. Also, the suppression of information, especially when based on facts that those in control wish to suppress to further their own false agendas, can have the effect of encouraging and promoting alternate media sites and competition, creating the demise and threatening the stability and dominance of those in control whether lawmakers, companies or people. In the end, censorship fails.

The Streisand effect is an example of psychological reactance, wherein once people are aware that some information is being kept from them, they are significantly more motivated to access and spread that information.

many have found that the Left's attempts at censorship of things they do not like has actually helped promote the very information they try so desperately to suppress. It also makes the Leftists look foolish and hypocritical for their worldviews being in direct contradiction of themselves. In the end, the Left always fails.

Do not think about a white elephant after reading this post.

Frick the filth. The backlash will be Homeric.

RE: Censorship from the Left and the Streisand Effect
I liked it when Babs preached to us to do our laundry by hand but when pressed to answer if SHE did it, her publicist said in effect that she never meant it for herself, just the little people.
