They were 11-13 last year and lost to former WAC member UMKC 99-36. The two 7 footers were not on last years team so last year means nothing.
TSU should win by 30 and I will expect you to pop on here and tell us why TSU is going dancing in March afterwords.

The Cotten Eyed Joe is extremely popular in the Ville and it was first publicly performed on March 23, 1892, and we will celebrate its anniversary. You have never experienced the CEJ until you see Oscar P. demonstrate it’s moves.

I think you have him confused with InterbredTexan. It’s he who after Tarleton loses by 36 to Baylor will come on here talking about them being junkyard dogs and running through the WAC because at one point in the first half it was 17-16.
As far as I know TexanFan has always been pretty level headed. But then again my brain isn’t the best of specimens to rely on.

RE: Future Men's & Women's Basketball Schedules - Western Athletic Conference
Is Sam Houston ever going to release its complete MBB schedule? We're a little over three weeks from the official start of the basketball season. I think the Bearkats have 2-3 slots to fill to complete their schedule. Given all there documented road games I have to believe those last few unknown games will be home games and probably against lower division opponents since just about every D1 program has released their schedule.

Our home OOC schedule is rough but dang...... Life is tough as a solid Mid-100s team. We can't get anyone at home either.

I bet that is a 100% overstatement and flat out lie. You can’t get anyone at home for the price you want to pay. When you average less than 1,000 per game, why would SHSU pay good money, when the fans won’t show up?

Which part? An exaggeration for sure. Our schedule sucks and that is a fact.
To answer your second question it might be a chicken and egg conundrum. Maybe if they had home games people would show? Maybe not.

That you couldn’t get a D1 team at home. SHSU just didn’t want to pay for one. SHSU had 491 people at the NMSU game last year. NMSU is the biggest “name” you can play in the current WAC. If less than 500 people are attending that game, why would fans go to see Texas Southern, Houston Baptist, or New Orleans?

Like I said, I was exaggerating. We have a total of 2 D1 OOC home games vs Rice and SHSU. Better than none, but obviously not good.

Sam Houston starts two home and home series - ULM and TXST
They also finish one - Missouri State
Not sure how they figured it out to where all were on the road
On bright side, Sam gets two D-1 home games next year

491 was a lot better than some of their home games. Multiple times better.
Without double checking, I believe some home games were below 200. Basketball isn’t popular there I guess. It can’t draw those crowds of 4,000 like they do in football.

We don't need another ACU in this area. It already sucks to have one in Arizona...

That's near a sellout for Seattle's on-campus arena.
